Have you limits on it ? Please use emule , a mod like emuleplus is good so far for this purpose , just when u will share We shall begin to dl and upl and for these files will be created permanent sources in less than 1 month . Consider to spread them using emule , just 8 16kb in upload wouldn't hurt you and any other . |

Gavilan, did you get DVD 1? If so, I might help you out...
BTW, nothing seen on Gametronik... I got already RAR parts 01 till 68 (3.4GB), but part 69 (prob last one) was taken down before I could DL it, so I downloaded 3.4GB for nothing |

I was just thinking weren't alot of the demos running at 50 fps and DVD is up to 30 fps? That doesn't make sense does it?

A similar question and answer can be found in bippym's Flashback: Demos Vol 1 - Feedback Thread - Posts #27 and #28...

I recommend reading through PAL, NTSC, 576i, and Interlace at Wikipedia. DVD/MPEG-2 output is identical to interlaced TV output, whether it's coming from broadcast or an Amiga. PAL DVD/video is 50 "fields" alternating between 288 pairs of odd/even lines, or 25 frames of 576 total lines, per second, while NTSC DVD/video is 60 "fields" of 240 odd/even lines, or 30 frames of 480 lines, per second.
Feel free to pick up a copy of MindCandy vol 2 and compare it with real Amiga output on the same TV to see what I'm talking about. |

Okay thanks a lot for that and I was actually watching MindCandy Vol 1 which includes PC demos where I was looking at the scrolling men figurines at the top as well as bottom of the screen on the Broadband demo wherewith I noticed they weren't scrolling silky-smoothly though maybe it was like that in the original. Obviously because Amiga demos contain a lot of smooth side-scrolling then I'll be able to look-out for it when I get a DVD and thanks.

I've just found out that if I change the output on my DVD player to NTSC instead of PAL matching the DVD then I get it silky smooth but this this is a region-free player so why won't it automatically switch the output?

No one of you , although comes from Amiga exp ,
understood that for spreading up these copies you need a p2p like emule , ed2k protocol , the result is that Many do not know where to get one , and that the forum is dying Bah... |
