Hi
Firstly, many thanks to everyone for their efforts on the various versions of uae. Just wanted to report a couple of bugs in the latest git version of puae built as a 32bit binary on Arch Linux 64bit (using this PKGBUILD without qt). None of the shortcuts keys seem to work (mousegrab, fullscreen etc.). F12 just brings the gui to the front. I get this output in a terminal when pressing various key combinations if it helps: Code:
kbd= 0, sc_new= 87, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 31, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 31, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 87, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 87, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 34, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 34, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 87, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 29, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 56, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 31, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 31, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 56, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 29, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 29, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 56, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 34, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 34, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 56, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 29, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 Code:

No. You had now created the build. This was only meant as an example. That the problem is located in the source code I'm aware of.

Hi all,
newly compiled and installed puae and emulation seems to work fine. But I have the same problem as gaula88 that all the F12 hot keys are not recognized (also tried with F11 and all other F-keys). Same behavior in fullscreen and windowed mode. Is this is a known bug or just wrong usage/configuration? This is what I get in the console: Code:
kbd= 0, sc_new= 88, scancode= 88 (0x58), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 68, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 88, scancode= 88 (0x58), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 156, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 156, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 156, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 1 kbd= 0, sc_new= 156, scancode= 0 (0x00), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 88, scancode= 88 (0x58), state= 0 kbd= 0, sc_new= 88, scancode= 88 (0x58), state= 1 I compiled with: Code:
./bootstrap.sh ./configure --with-sdl-gfx --with-sdl-sound Regards, malte |

No help to Linux, but I've released another build from the latest commits, which addresses CPU and disk issues/bugs according to GnoStiC.

Thanks chiark, much appreciated.
Is it just me or can you not type in the 'save as' dialogue box of the save state feature? |

No... You need to cut and paste into it.

Oh right, well that's not the end of the world. Never thought of that so thanks for the tip.
Edit: actually, just tried the save and re-load state feature and it seems to reset the emulator rather than bring you back to your saved position. Damn. Last edited by dreamkatcha; 21 May 2011 at 08:47. |

Please tell us, how you build this
Dear chiark,
I know, there are some building instructions to compile P-UAE, but till now I couldn't trust in my builds. I would like to know, how I could create rock solid builds as good as yours. So, please would you give me or us all an updated How to do including the links to all needed software tools? I look forward to test your new build. Best regards Dic |

Could someone please produce a 32bit binary for Linux with JIT and ALSA sound using this configure script, please? I don't have a 32 bits system at hand and JIT won't compile on a 64bits system...

Hi,
Latest version compiles and the little I've tested works well. The problem is the shortcut keys still don't seem to work and there doesn't seem to be any error messages I could give you. Are the keys still F12+G, F12+S etc. or have they changed? Do they work on other distros? See my earlier post for some details. Not sure what else might help, this being Arch all software versions are the latest which might be the problem of course Thanks |
