Cool. I like the sunset tune even though I can't pogo to it or bounce off the walls!

Really like the funky basses on your tunes Mrs Beanbag. I particularly like the mountain-maze melody.

thanks, i'm glad you like it, i tend to think of the bass-line as a complementary melody rather than just a background support or rhythmic part.

Ok - I did some *cough* tracks in OctaMED back in the day but I'm unsure how to utilise WinUAE to output them into a mp3 file? Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Totally digging these, Mrs. Beanbag. Thanks for sharing!
Man, I gotta dig up some samples and do a little mucking around on my Amiga...haven't done any MOD composing in years. |

Nope. They (OctaMED mods) are on around 3 adf disks and there's probably around four "decent" (lol) tracks out of around 15 I did. And about 4/5 that are unfinished.
I'm still figuring out how to convert OctaMED mod files (I'm using WinUAE ClassicWB) and save them into mp3 format. @Mrs Beanbag - Is there a step-by-step on how to do this do you know? First time I've done anything like this (transfer/convert Amiga files for use on PC). |

VLC on Windows will play a lot of Amiga mod formats. I have used this before successfully to "stream" Amiga mods to mp3. It can be confusing at first, but you will work it out as you go.

Thanks ptyerman. Have downloaded VLC and sure it enough, it's playing my mods!
Only thing is now in VLC, some of the mod samples has been taken down a couple of octaves and it sounds right weird lol. Going to play with it some more to check if I've missed something. |

VLC can be confusing at first especially in the advanced settings, but it is worth spending some time configuring it. That problem does sound a little weird, it's 2 or 3 years since I last used it to play any mods, will have to have a look. It may be worth installing an older version from a couple of years ago and trying that.

So far i cant find any settings that will correct the pitch/octave.
I will try and find an older version and see if that makes a difference. I've also tried WinUAE sound output but when turned on, the octamed screen disappears so i cant click "play" lol. |
