I've managed to add disksqueeze disks to the mix but, I've come across some images, supposedly DSQ but, disksqueeze dose not recognise them.
I've attached some of the images, can anyone have a look at them and tell me what format it is or, whether it's damaged files? thanks. Arnie Last edited by Arnie; 05 February 2013 at 20:44. |

I'll have a look at those tomorrow, Arnie. Thanks for uploading them.

I have created extended adf of evils doom some of original disks, those are 984kb ones. Only extended adf can support those.

This would make a nice WHDLoad-patch, I have never got Evils Doom to work on my setup.

I searched for text strings in the .dsq files and found: In 003.dsq: Goblins3_Disk5of6.ipf In 004.dsq: RailroadTycoon_Disk2.ipf In 013.dsq there is loads of text which appears to be from the Valve software Steam PC gaming client. Obviously, none of those strings in the three .dsq files would be present if they were archives of original Amiga disks. |

uaeunp 003.dsq reveals: Code:
[VDIR] -------- ------------------- 003.1.dsq.DIR [VDIR] -------- ------------------- 003.dsq.DIR 659826 -------- ------------------- 886EEF10 003.1.dsq 659826 -------- ------------------- 886EEF10 003.dsq and uaeunp 003.dsq\003.dsq.DIR shows that this 'virtual ditrectory' contains no files. uaeunp 003.dsq 003.1.dsq extracts a 003.1.dsq file correctly, but uaeunp 003.1.dsq then reveals: Code:
[VDIR] -------- ------------------- 003.1.dsq.DIR [VDIR] -------- ------------------- 003.2.dsq.DIR 659826 -------- ------------------- 886EEF10 003.1.dsq 659826 -------- ------------------- 886EEF10 003.2.dsq The 004.dsq and 013.dsq files behave very similarly. I have not checked whether the files resemble valid DiskSqueeze archives at all but, after what mark_k has reported above, I wouldn't imagine they do. |

O.K, thanks for looking. The inclusion of PC steam leads me to believe that the images are corrupted.
I can't remember where I obtained the originals from, possibly the Zone. The original Archive was named AUI.zip, I think, and contains about 91 images. Has anyone got the original Archive or images in .dsq format? |

If so, I can probably recreate them from my coverdisk collection. |

Thanks for the offer but, I already have the images in adf format.
I was more interested in the disksqueeze format to test the script for mounting disksqueeze disks. Looking through old posts I think the original uploader was exoticaga, and the archive was placed in his/her user folder on the eab server but, it's not there anymore. The only AUI images I can find on the server are in adf format. I'm also looking for any .ipf images in dos format, i.e non commercial/ndos disk images. Anyone have them or could knock a few up with kryoflux? Last edited by Arnie; 04 February 2013 at 23:01. |

They were originally uploaded in DSQ format (they were probably exoticaga's), but they were converted to ADF when the coverdisk hunt was at its peak and questions were being asked about how to handle this format.
It was while converting some of these images that I discovered the old bug in uaeunp when dealing with those having the "extra" bitmap header. |

A bit OT but, how far did you get with the AUI collection, many still missing? I found a AUI#97 (disk not magazine) image the other day.

Check the first post here:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=54641 There's a similar thread for the Amiga Format disks. Just search for "coverdisk hunt", and these and related threads will be listed. Edit: Yep, that one's still wanted! |

Would you Adam & Eve it. After days of searching for the dsq archive they turn up on an old HD.
I've attached the AUI97 image for your collection. Last edited by Arnie; 14 February 2013 at 22:44. |

Yes, they're both correct.
AUI29.adf was uploaded by Mr.Oakley and AUI82.adf was the second of the two which I was only able to convert correctly after the uaeunp bug was fixed. Well spotted, Arnie! Edit: Old thread updated again! Last edited by prowler; 05 February 2013 at 21:40. |
