Surely using a Bluetooth pad just means you are effectively using the mobile.phone as a portable screen?

I do prefer using the PS Vita due to it being self contained. You have everything as it should be. In fact, the earlier PS Vita had an OLED screen anyway?

yes Im using a xiaomi mi 9 as portable screen because is perfect for this

yes the 1st ps vita have a primitive oled screen but is really inferior if you compare with a new super amoled screen included in top cellphones as xiaomi mi9, samsung s10 etc

anyways yet there is no reliable psvita emulator, this comparison is only valid for PSP emulation, or any other console emulation ,
getting the original PSvita is the only option to play psvita games, despite the 99% of the exclusive games available for this console are very buggy

Has anyone managed to get NoDpDRM working with SD2Vita?

I have it installed, but I cannot get the games to show up. I have followed the following, but no go!

Yes mine is. Worth getting autoplugin vpk. I'm sure that's what I used. You have to configure it correctly and also you need to choose the SD2Vita as primary card because that is not the default. Games will only show on ux0 I think. I don't have my PS Vita to hand but there is a vpk that now installs all the relevant plugins.

Done and done i believe. Must be a config issue.

Make sure you delete config left in other drive spaces e.g. in um0

Correct. There is no place for it being anywhere else but it can conflict.

Also another option is to delete the config and recreate it... But try and do this as last resort as I think you need to do this whilst in the homebrew mode. So usually okay when on Enso

My opinion regarding Android.

Android: terrible input lag, >100 ms audio lag, endless boot time, horrible short battery/sleep mode lifetime (need to charge everyday), controller not included.

Vita: none of the above.

I'd agree with the vita battery life. It's impressive! Standby mode seems to use very little power That it can last over 1 week quite easily.

@rsn8887 - any updates on the MT-32 patched vpk?

my xiaomi redmi 5 plus can last 20 days in standbye mode
it consume 5% battery /day ( wifi on, mobile data on, GPS on)
it have a 4000 ma battery

my xiaomi mi9 consume around 8% battery/day in standbye mode
( wifi on, mobile data on, GPS on)
it can last 12 or 13 days in standbye mode
but this one have only a 3300 ma battery but a faster and hungry cpu

Well it has been a while since I used Android devices. My last one was an Nvidia Shield Portable, it was terrible. It took forever to boot and audio lag was unacceptable.

@lesta_smsc: Here's a ScummVM build I just made were MT 32 Emu is enabled. You will probably agree that MT32 emulation is just too slow on this platform to be usable: https://files.coolatoms.org/scummvm_mt32emu.vpk

If you followed step by step instructions I left in previous posts (2 videos by MrMario2011 - everything should work including NoDpDRM.

I did not have to remove any configurations from um0.

Only thing that I had issue is plug ins will not work fine if you have any conflicts. I removed them all and than used autoplugin to select only one I needed and I knew what they do.

@Misclegend - are you mixing hours and days?

My Samsung S9+ can last more than a day, but as long as I am not using its screen. Screen drains it at very rapid rate.

Don't get me wrong - I love my phone, but still wish battery can last longer.

You still have the input and audio lag though. Hopefully this will be fixed at some point in Android. Android is pretty useless compared to IOS for Music making apps because of the audio lag, and I'm no Apple fanboy. Playing retro games with too much lag is no fun either, the games were made for devices with no lag (except for the normal screen buffering in the games of course).

IIRC RetroArch (including one on Android) can be set to remove lag/latency, but to run it you need fast machine.

We are bit off topic, in case you want to look into it, check this YT video.
