New releases now in the zone..

Railroad Tycoon - 100%
Requested by RichL, who also gets a mention in the cracktro. Complete bypass of the manual check.

Code:
_____  _____  _______                   _
\   /__\   /__\   __/ tHE tWiTCH eLiTE /\\
|  ___/|  ___/|  ___/.                 \//
|::.|  |::.|  |::.|  |     pRESENT     /\\
|______|______|______| =============== \//
  :                                     :
 //     Railroad Tycoon - v855.02      /\\
 \\         Date - 2023-11-29          \//
 //         Code - TTE04               /\\
 \\_fZn________________________________\//
Xenon 2 - 1 Disk version
Was just curious about how this one was laid out. Turned into a test of zopfli/deflate compression which not only beat Shrinkler it also unpacks in a very timely manner. Was also fun to rig both deflate and zx0 with progress bars.

Code:
_____  _____  _______                   _
\   /__\   /__\   __/ tHE tWiTCH eLiTE /\\
|  ___/|  ___/|  ___/.                 \//
|::.|  |::.|  |::.|  |     pRESENT     /\\
|______|______|______| =============== \//
  :                                     :
 //     Xenon II - 1 Disk              /\\
 \\         Date - 2023-11-29          \//
 //         Code - TTE05               /\\
 \\_fZn________________________________\//
As always, cracking details in the readme.txt.

Oh and just remember, holding down SHIFT and pressing 4 (dollar symbol) adds an extra £500,000 to your kitty.

Hi Hoffmann, Dr Bong sent me his dump of Maria Xmas Box, i put the IPF in the zone.

You won't need too much time, the game is AmigaDOS + Protec sync 4454 serial longtrack.

Tonight we've got a special little release I made up during the week and then a festive crack. TOB might be next week but I'm also considering Exile which is super interesting.

Oh I'll come back to it. I got past the first one but only with WinUAE. The AR craps out in most cases. We'll shove it back on the bench soon.

i decided to have a look at the tower of babel since it intrigued me. My notes are attached. It doesnt explain how to fully crack this as there are quite a few checksums to defeat but it does document some of the interesting parts. The first TVD isn't that hard to bypass and the disk check is actually a variation on RNC with the serial hidden inside a seemingly standard dos track.

We (quartex) actually missed one of these back in the day on player manager 2 extra and Galahad ended up releasing the properly cracked version. I was given the disk to crack but before I had chance to look at it someone had already decided it was not protected and just stuck an intro on and released.

Oh nice one. I got past the first TVD in easy mode, WinUAE, but I love that idea of modifying the TVD to apply NOPs to make it readable. I had noticed that the increment of the PC in the TVD also affects the branch instructions but I guess with the NOPs on place they still hit the right points?

it seems to work ok. here is a list of addresses for CRC's (some found using winuae so i cheated)

7a82
7ac8
7b78
124e4
11E16
7eb6
8c36
8d44
8da8

i've managed to get it running right up until the screen where you start the game but i don't seem to be able to do anything on that menu and i get the same result using the original game and entering the codes from the manual.

update: seems like virtual mouse driver being enabled in winuae was the problem stopping me from getting into the game. turning that off fixed the issue.

Just watching the Stormlord stream and was wondering if you are going to upload the release to the zone again?
