In the video you select a demo and run it,how did you do that, what I mean is can you go to the selector menu and run a game from any slot without using the buttons to move to that slot..? I love it btw,and I don't agree with them selling them on eBay with your firmware they should of asked you first and give you a donation, cos they are making money from your work.bad people. |

Its unclear if this editor works with a Cortex based Gotek, Hxc Gotek, or both.
The file "SELECTOR.ADF" only works with Cortex firmware, but the editor is called HxCEdit... |

Yes, but the application is called 'HxCEdit', which indicates its intended for Gotek with HxC firmware.
Might confuse some people. |

I found that the Gotek HXC editor don't work with Cortex firmware. You can look at what you have assigned to all tracks but not add/remove or do anything else with it.

Oh ok, then the guy needs to update his web page because all he writes about is the `selector.adf for Cortex Gotek` which is misleading |

Actually, I use HxCEdit with Cortex firmware, but it can only add or move between positions, it cannot remove anything.

Really? I couldn't do anything other than look at what was loaded in the tracks. Maybe I didn't check properly or had an older version of the program

i just tested GotekADFEdit on my own, made a stick which includes Selector.adf
and some other adf files. next start the tool and u see the listview on right side and empty one on the left. now you can: drag & drop from right to left -> add to selector drag & drop from left to right -> remove from selector so on the left side will be listed all the diskimages to be added to the Selector. on the left side you can also change the position for each adf, just drag & drop up/down. once you made your choice push [save]. thats it. as stated above, i have no gotek, so someone else have to test. #1) just for the sake of it, i removed, and reinserted my usb stick, start again the editor, and now i have the content of the selector listed on the left side. now i can still edit the left side (selector): add remove and change position of the adf(s). cool tool ![]() Last edited by emufan; 29 October 2016 at 01:41. |
