So get your answers in quick
Wait, no it is not! Or at least, only partially. Allow me to copy paste an explanation from another forum that I wrote this April after the "walk in the park" quiz:

***
That's a good question! In the early years, whoever had the same number of points was just ranked by order of submission, so if you entered your 10 points a day earlier than your competitor, you got the higher of the two positions.

But now I use a different system - every game title is weighted by how often it was answered correctly. In the last round, Firewatch was guessed right 95% percent of the time, answering it earned you 1.005 points. However, Inner Space was answered right only by 23% of users, and getting that right awarded you 1.077 points. The differences are very small, and would never earn you a full additional point - but they are usually enough to make sure 7 people who all got 17 points get a distinct ranking.

Here are all people with 17 points from the current quiz, without having their results rounded:

1 - 17.569 points - Wizdom
2 - 17.545 points - j1m
3 - 17.510 points - Lukulus
4 - 17.503 points - windfisch
5 - 17.499 points - darkwave
6 - 17.487 points - Frump
7 - 17.487 points - Sachiel

You can see, with the exception of the last two it has worked out very well.
***

I hope that answers it - weighted points are being used, that's how these tiny differences happen. But if two people enter exactly the same answers, I'll fall back to sorting by submission date. That doesn't happen very often though!

As someone who kept his upgraded Amiga active until around 2004, I can say I like you ALL better than the others.

September Quiz - the self-solving experiment

Do you suffer from tough gaming quizzes? Does it drag you down that this stuff is always so damn difficult and you can't recognize anything? Do you feel irritated that even though you're a real gaming nerd the answers to these riddles just elude you somehow and you can name the first row at best??

Don't give up, this round will reinvigorate your confidence!

You see, the September Quiz happens to be self-solving: It starts out extra tough, with extremely zoomed-in screen fragments... but EVERY THREE DAYS it becomes easier and will show more of its games. This will happen all month long (ten times in total), until on the last day the entire screenshot will be visible.

If you are clairvoyant and can already spot the game in the first days, you will be rewarded beyond your dreams - these are the points you will earn depending on the zoom level:

zoom level 01 - 3.0 points
zoom level 02 - 2.0 points
zoom level 03 - 1.5 points
zoom level 04 - 1.2 points
zoom level 05 - 1.0 points
zoom level 06 - 0.8 points
zoom level 07 - 0.6 points
zoom level 08 - 0.5 points
zoom level 09 - 0.4 points
zoom level 10 - 0.3 points

Deadline is Wednesday the 30th September, participate via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/

Here is the first quiz image, zoom level 1 out of 10, have fun!

As of last night, the 2nd zoom level has been uploaded - maybe you'll already recognise more now.

one: https://i.imgur.com/aqcZIk0.png
two: https://i.imgur.com/T9f60Fx.png

Every three days there'll be another one - but I won't make a post for every instance.

There are three players from the English Amiga Board so far, altogether recognising one game.
