there are different types of damage that could occur in the sector 880
- the basic defect is a valid checksum in sector 880 Nodos. 6E014 => XX XX XX XX - other classic is the "filesystem creation date": 6E1E4 => 00 00 XX XX 00 00 XX XX 00 00 XX XX - for example with DiskCopy WB2.1+, add "last root alteration date" defect: 6E1A4 => 00 00 XX XX 00 00 XX XX 00 00 XX XX - With DiskCopy WB2.0, add this defect: 6E138 => FF FF FF FF (or 00 00 00 01 with WB1.x) - Add classic "Copy_of_" text 6E1B0 => 1E 43 6F 70 79 5F 6F 66 5F For "Possible bad doscopy on NoDOS disk! Good rootblock checksum but without filesystem creation date" This refers to a possible corruption in the position 6E014 (checksum) and sometimes 6E1EE => XX XX with different values, but the risk of false positives is quite large because this test is based on the checksum only. I will improve the reliability of the tested when I have more time and if it is possible ... sorry. It would be necessary tested with other copying tools to identify responsible by their signatures. ok,
Is the reason of splitting your corrections in 2 posts the limited number of characters per post. If so, it could be a problem, if i edit the posts, writing "...fixed, mai", right? Can it happens, that the end of post ist cutted without warning? Quote:

It is a fact that a disk may be corrupted as it is without effect as for errors DMS. it does not make good copy anyway! Last edited by Crashdisk; 08 October 2012 at 19:17. |

Compared against the Original on this Disk position is the protection track, i suppose "ZNT" has disabled access to this Disk position then. Whats your opinion? Quote:
