I have a major problem with Redpill 7.1 and 7.2. I had my game pretty much working. I decided to add some more events to my enemy object. I saved the project, try to play the game from the main menu. I noticed that when level one started, something weird happened to my enemies. The enemies started ignoring some triggers, disappearing randomly. When I test the individual level, then the level works fine. I removed the added triggers from the object to the previous state and saved the project, but when testing my game, the problem persisted. Normally when the level starts all enemies and player appear at the same start Glitched level is different, when level starts, the enemies appear first then the player, but when player appears, then one of the enemy disappear. I tried the v7.1 and v7.2, same problem. Any ideas? I could email you my project if you want to examine it. As a last resort, I could redo everything from scratch. |

I had a similar problem. My game also glitched. The player object mutated to another object in the wrong situation. I double checked the triggers and could find nothing wrong. I had to go back to the last version from before 7.1 to solve it. Last edited by Lemming880; 06 October 2019 at 17:22. |

I'd like to add that I'm not 100% sure if my problem was caused by 7.1/7.2. Just a suspicion. But it sounds a lot like what you had. I don't know what happens when you open it in an old version.
Update: it happened again in a version before 7.1 so it's not a 7.1/7.2 problem. Last edited by Lemming880; 12 October 2019 at 13:41. |

Suggestions for next update
Is it possible to have 2 sprite sheets: One for the players and another for the enemies. When I add enemies to the sprite sheets "players", all my mirror animations are shifted. If we had the opportunity to have another sprite sheets for the enemy, it is very significant. |

I've found out the program stack should be bigger to use autoslice, this could the root of the issues you are having. You can do it in the program icon:

happy that it worked!
I am taking a look at ways to avoid the shifting in animations when modifiying the sprite sheets, it is not easy but it will come in the future. The next version is focused on fixing the present issues before adding anything new |

Meanwhile you can try the latest version with some fixes
V0.7.3 - http://tiny.cc/getredpill News: -Program stack size increased to 32Kb to avoid unstability and crashes when using autoslice. -Sorting and rendering by Z has been recoded to avoid objects disappearing. -Fix: Screen Flash trigger was not working when HUD was on top. -File requesters now have a maximum size. -Fixed an issue preventing from changing Var pages when selecting a Var in the triggers. -Sound module code is now more robust to avoid memory leaks. |
