Then use queue commands or queue shortcut (rmb on shared or listed mod)

impbox use wifi (any)
impbox does't need any tcp/ip stack on amiga.
impbox is used only by IMP
impbox is much faster than plipbox
impbox has oled display with vumeters and other infos

a4000d: up to 120kb/s
cd32 with sx32: up to 120kb/s
amiga 600/1200: up top 90kb/s
amiga mc68000: up to 50kb/s

Hi Juen,

First of all, IMP3 is really great! It was one of my test applications during development of the simple SPI ethernet controller. I have been doing multiple 100MB speed tests to test the throughput of the driver.
However, I am having stability problems with IMP3. One of the "triggers" is sysinfo. When cycling through the libraries/devices/tasks/etc screens the system will always crash at some point. Sometimes with a 8000000b guru but also sometimes with just a black screen. This is on my A500 running kickstart 3.1, ClassicWB and AmiTCP3.0b2.
I also tried it on my A3000 running OS3.9 and Genesis TCP/IP. And there the same thing happened, except that the trigger here was loading up iBrowse.

Are their any known issues? Do I need to set a certain stacksize? Certiain versions of libraries? Any help would be appreciated as I would really like to run this great program for longer periods at time.

Not here sadly . In an attempt to find the culprit I deleted s:imp3.prefs several times. After I had done that IMP3 will ask for a screenmode. Sometimes that works but then IMP3 will open a 2-color screen only. Before I deleted imp3.prefs it would open on a 4 color screen. Sometimes it will open on workbench and subsequently refuse to open on its own screen.
Something similar happens on my A3000, there it will only open on Workbench, whatever screenmode I select.

UPDATE: It definately is more stable on my A3000. The screen problem is there but I cannot crash it any more by running iBrowse at the same time. I guess that was a lucky shot. The crash was very similar as on my A500 though, with the computer frozen with a black screen. My A500 is running good old WB3.1 / ClassicWB. Could that have anything to do with it?

only one limitation for imp is kickstart - reqtools/gadtools need kick 2.04+
at this point (i think) all even weirdest configs was checked...

8000000B - this guru is for fpu... simply imp3 can't generate this error :|

maybe there is some problems with your network driver?

The network driver is of course on my list :-) However, other programs seem very happy with it. Another error I see often is #80000003 on the input task of input.device. Probably all just random and the result of some runaway task... I'll keep on probing :-)

One other thing, I cannot get IMP3 to open a 4 color-screen anymore. That one must be something else right?

maybe this driver is not optimized for mc68000? 80000003 means illegal - odd addressing for word or long

idk why u can't open 4 color screen which is default for imp (imp is using only 4 colors - ALWAYS)

I hadn't loaded up IMP in a while. It updated to IMP3 on start -- lovely.

I'm on an A2000 '020 w/ FPU (14.3MHz) with 2MB 32-bit FAST, 4MB 16-bit FAST, and 1MB CHIP. AmiTCP driving an X-Surf ethernet card.

Works great, DISCO switches screenmode and basically gives the system a seizure. Is that to be expected on a meager system like this? Also, does the current version support its own screenmode, kind of like the original IMP did, or is it all on the Workbench with standard GUI windows?

Still love this app. Thanks guys! Was glad to see my early IMP code worked for IMP3. Cheers.

Oh -- and how do I get the user list back up for a channel? Once I closed that username list window, I can't find how to reopen it!
