maybe it was BlindRead - was on winxp, IIRC
#1) it was IsoPuzzle, you are right. use the aspi.dll in the link on that page, so it does work on win7 here. Last edited by emufan; 14 February 2018 at 20:01. |

OK, thanks, guys. I am going to check these, but first I will have to find the CDs. This will most probably happen sometime next week, because this week's crowded for me. Until then I have the fileslists for the CDs somewhere here on my notebook, I might zone them sometime tonight.

Zoned, it is in AmigaGuide format. I guess I should have almost all (or maybe all) the CDs (27, I don't know if there is more in this series or not, that is surely the last one I had back then) somewhere around here, except for the music and ones also listed. When I last wanted to make an image of the CDs a couple of years ago, it was virtually impossible (I tried some bad CD reader software then, but not the ones you recommended), although I managed to copy almost all the files form the ones I tried, so if there is something you are particularly interested in, it might be easier to get a certain file or batch of files than a complete image.

I cannot guaranty IsoPuzzle will work. It did once for me, but may fail with other CDs.
Since you could rescue some files from the bad image, there might be a tiny chance, IsoPuzzle will get the remaining bits. maybe btw. put the winaspi32.dll in the same folder together with IsoPuzzle.exe. it was said , one may try to polish the cdrom surface with toothpaste, or a special cdrom cleaner set, to get some more bits out of it, but again, I cannot say for sure. thanks for the list. |

Try with a ftp client program like Filezilla
It should be more efficient with big archives than download done via browser |
