I just added kickstart switch (1.3/3.1) so I can play older games, switch in position 1.3 also disabling ACA. Very handy.

Very nice, but why don't you change the TinyMeter prefs to have it's window transparent?

Edit: It's in TinyMeterPrefs, (see if they are on Prefs or where they are) in Flags, background type, SNAP. I saw the other day Fitzsteve should also do the same.

Something like this: http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/4...sparentffr.png

Or this: http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/1190/transparent2h.png

When Vampire arrived I thought it's a good time to mod little more

I moved CF reader so I can use different OS's without taking Amiga apart every time.
Thanks to CD drive mounting was easy, just hot glue

Vampire inside. I'm missing some cables as I moved CF reader my CD is not connected for few days.

Will it close with Vampire?

here you go, if it fits in my A600 it will fit in any ones )

I won't lie. For me it was better like before. I would try to put the CF HD over the Pcmcia (putting the switch in another place), but I'm an A1200 user so not sure if you can.

I can't HXC motherboard is mounted on that side. Anyway I like it like that, SD and CF are close to each other. There is not much space left

Well, you've got the switch there under the HxC, so perhaps it would fit instead of it . Anyway it's your taste and your miggy

Edit: Can you tell something about the Vampire?

I forgot to tell you, it don't work properly on ECS always starts black and only goes transparent after you move around.

That's only because of the time it takes to start TinyMeter (over your wallpaper). You've got an option on it's preferences, "General", "Waittime". Try changing it, 5 seconds for example . It also depends on the wallpaper you are using; at least with an A1200. The A600 is slower, so just change that time.

This Amiga is now taken apart, motherboard and case are in the bin.
I tried to replace capacitors with rubbish iron and destroyed it.
I wanted to do few things different anyway and case was slightly yellowed, so screw it. (( Next time I'm sending to Amigakit for recapping, not bothered anymore with precision de-soldering.

Don't throw away anything man. Just send the board to a guy that can save it or at least donate it to kipper2k or Majsta. It's pity to throw away a defective board .

Yes, if it can't be rescued, there are always very usefull parts to use from the mobo. As people says... "Shit happens"

I also had a bad time with one of the caps the first time on my A1200; the trace got up... gladly I could fix that. The second miggy was easier... or I taked more time. Anyway I've got a "decent" iron (could be better).

Yesterday I desoldered the kickstarts sockets (I need to change them), and it taked me about 2 hours... so better to take your time.

It's too late. I lost it last night a bit. Moment of madness. Rubbish was taken this morning.

Bought mint A600 on Ebay last night. My wife is not happy with me. I spend too much time and money on C64 and Amiga.

New baby!

I didn't know my external FD is yellowed, nice Commodore mouse too.

Number 584 board A300 rev 1. I was worried that nothing would work, but ACA620 runs fine

Shield out!

First CF HD will be mounted when FD used to be

It's just fit perfectly there.

Leaning towards stock 3.1 as is rapid as hell

Stay tuned

Perfect. Much better than before. If now you can put the HxC beside the CF it will be nice.

Ooooh! Wonderful mate. . And I like the white buttons for the HXC.
Now don't forget to add TinyMeter with the tips.

And would like to see a photo of the rear to see the Dvd bezel.

Edit: Is it OS3.9 or OS3.5 you are using? Woudn't it be faster CWBAdvSP?

Here you go:

It's 3.9 with 3.5 backdrop. It's not that slow, I use DOPUS mostly to browse folders so ECS have no chance to slow me down. I like full screen 800x600 with SuperPlus

This is Dreamscape it's based on 3.1 :
