The FMV can plug into the FWSI in the place the FWSi RTC goes? Instead of using the FMV's own back plate? Is that tested working? |

How are you going to fit it? The ROM in the CD32 is soldered in place

Both of my CD32 also have ROM sockets.
It should be possible put the patched lowlevel.library in FWSI ROM, it has lots of empty space. (at least 16k, I think) and then add small patch to existing boot code that replaces lowlevel.library in resident list (just like FMV ROM does). Probably not very useful but if someone wants alternative solution for some reason |

Modified ROM works fine. Tested with the audio CD player, and with a system friendly game (Diggers). Mileage with games will be variable as many do not access the pad via lowlevel.library.

Could you please supply that patch in the Zone? I've got a unit here which needs it, too.

So is this a hardware only patch then I.e changing roms, is there no way to hack it in software on boot?

Loadmodule loaded replacement lowlevel.library should (at least in theory) work with CD32 too.

This won't help games which access the gamepad direct. I guess CD32Load would be one way to get those patched. |

Is there anyway to have a patched lowleel.library for A1200 motherboards that have problems.
Thank you for your replys. |

Yes they would just want a longer delay loop to allow for the extra capacitance on those boards' POT lines. The same caveat applies that it only helps stuff that actually uses lowlevel.library.

Would you send me such a ROM for further tests with FMV-card please? I'll send you a pm for further details. Thank you. |
