That said, I can fully understand that scene coders hold back their full scale entries for the time when the "real thing" can happen again.
I do not really understand why they could not have the live event this year?

I was looking forward to see you there "Tigerskunk"

Guess it's because we still had kind of strong anti Corona measure being in effect here until a few weeks ago, and the situation was very unclear if they were really lifted.

It wasn't a strong Amiga year, but there was some good tracked music: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...TlAZ7KOygdAI4i

Didn't make anything for the Amiga this years Revision, but still thought I'd do some shameless self-promotion

For sure!

Seams like the Amiga music scene is very much alive.
Also the music compo, Gerp 2022 got some very nice tunes.

I’ll be at the Field-FX party in early June in the UK. Though I won’t be risking my A1200 at the camp site.

Their invite came 2nd in the Wild compo at Revision: [ Show youtube player ]

No. I don't think so. After all those years I see demo-scene more like a graffiti-scene. It doesn't have to be innovative. It's about a message, presented in an entertaining way.

Do all productions need to be released on a demo-party? I understand the bonus of showing them on a big-screen to a party crowd, but travel costs and all the hassle around getting to the party place (and hitting the dead-line) is quite less appealing to us in our 40s/50s . Releasing on Pouet only doesn't look that bad then

Send a message via ICQ to Fery
I'm looking forward to Revision 2023, finally in person again.

You can release whenever you want, also you can remotely contribute a release to the party ..
