The Legacy was nice, an inofficial heir to Don't Go Alone. Yet it was not released on Amiga. (Otherwise Wizardry, Might and Magic, etc would have to be mentioned, too )

They have been mentioned and we found that they aren't real-time

If you don't mind free flowing dungeons, then the intermediate step between Dungeon Master/EoTB style games and Wolfenstein/Doom style shooters is probably the old PC classics, Ultima Underworld 1 & 2. Technically it was much more advanced than Wolfenstein which it inspired, causing a much higher set of spec requirements, but both work fine under DoSBox!

Ultima'ry goodness can be seen here:

I don't need DOS Box, I have few DOS-only machines.

Oh, DosBox makes the EMS+XMS+UMB-pain go away.

Coming from Amiga I found that stuff really confusing. And now I prefer not to remember.

Yes we all know they didn't share the "same" gameplay as EOB. No 2 games are exactly the same. "Same" and "similar" aint and don't mean the same.

RPG games with similar interface & view to Eye of the Beholder?
I'm searching for RPG games with similar interface & view to Eye of the Beholder. Not Amiga only. Sega CD have really good version of EotB but techno music in fantasy game is not so good idea...

cheers

Well, then someone should name Bard Tale, Phantasie, Citadel of Vras, Dragon Wars, Fate - Gates of Dawn, Knightmare, Legend of Faerghail, Lords of Doom...
Not sure if s2325 really meant that

Lords of Doom had real time combat btw. Yet the gameplay reminds more of an adventure than a classical RPG. Could the characters even level?

Since I never managed to attack and haven't seen any character stats screen, I really have no idea

i'm not really sure the game mechanic is even similar, but the feeling that screenshot gives me is something akin to EoB
