For those interested, the TTE TinyTro source code is now available on GitHub.

it does sound a bit weird (but not bad ofc) having a race for this kind of thing in 2023 of all times

I've watched a couple of these (parts of them at least, I can't spare 3+ hours!) - thoroughly entertaining, even if I'm amazed a person with your skills can't remember a hex memory address for longer than 2 minutes at a time :P
Keep it up, looking forward to seeing more. |

I found it very valuable as a visual demonstration of how Action Replay worked for these sorts of tasks. I remember doing similar things in AsmOne. Action Replay being out of band in terms of it not clobbering or being clobbered by whatever you are running on the system and allowing you to move to previous lines on screen and re-execute them.. etc.
As a developer I kind of want highlights videos showing the key points for all these types of tools, from Action Replay to Resource to DevPac/MonAm to even working on Amiga stuff in Ghidra. Even using WinUAE for development. If we take a look at threads on these things, often people don't know the useful hints or what they are capable of. An example is the thread on the WinUAE debugger where people are lamenting there's no documentation or the existence of a feature that actually exists - with the frictional "read the source" comments legitimately appearing but also kind of harder than it has to be. Not suggesting others should do any of this.. work requires a chump to do it and we're all busy. |

@H0ffman - please do me a favour just test your Railroad Tycoon by adding more than 2 trains.
I know you removed the protection but the crack I used to play all those years ago, although it said ‘congratulations your train knowledge will serve you well’ it still only let me have 2 trains. Do you know what could have caused that back in the day? Why it would have given the congratulations text but not worked? Apologies if you did this on your stream, I couldn’t see it (YouTube upload) |

EAB has our own TOSEC forum (https://eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.php?f=33) and Crashdisk who maintains the Amiga games is a mod here. I'm sure he'll add them to the next update.

But to the game you’ve clicked the wrong one despite the message so only 2 trains. So how do you do it so that no matter what train you click the 2 train limit is properly removed? Maybe amend the code where the game jumps when it says ‘perhaps you should go back to the manual you are limited to 2 trains’ and change that code? Is that the solution? |

So is the protection more than just a manual check being removed then?
Like there is something else in the code? I confess I'm not l33t in the slightest - you lose me when you whizz through the code in the AR3 ![]() |

As a bonus, Mnemotron found the code which calls the protection and loads the screen which I've now bypassed. Tidy! Did a quick test and you can buy more than 2 trains. Release coming soon. |

It'll be release on Wednesdays stream after we've tested a little longer.
In the meantime, I've re-up'd the B.C. Kid release as I found a bug in our cracktro (sorry!) and also this.. Code:
_____ _____ _______ _ \ /__\ /__\ __/ tHE tWiTCH eLiTE /\\ | ___/| ___/| ___/. \// |::.| |::.| |::.| | pRESENT /\\ |______|______|______| =============== \// : : // Archipelagos - 100% with Game Save /\\ \\ Date - 2023-11-08 \// // Code - TTE03 /\\ \\_fZn________________________________\// |
