Defender of the Crown was easier on Atari ST, I didn't know it make game better.

True, but some ST musics were better orchestrated so sometimes the ST still wins...

It's completely superior to everything except the Falcon (which is FAR ahead).

The Atari ST sound has a game console touch to it, it's very similiar to what the Sega Mastersystem sounds like. And I think the comparison looks worse because that tune and whole intro sequence is so memorable.

What about the Atari TT then? Wasn't that their other high-end model with much better hardware?

The TT has the same 8-bit sound as the STe (2 channel), as well as the YM2149 that was found in the original ST.
