Just tried to create another thread in this forum and the [IMG] code is Off by default.
So, as it's on elsewhere, they obviously don't want piccies overloading the threads here. And how do *I* do that, there is no where for me to switch them on or off, I think it's a Mods decision and not an ordinary members decision to choose. Last edited by DH; 13 May 2009 at 16:56. |

Anyway, back on topic guys
![]() If it were to be used, I could get the colours on the Turrican image to shimmer in the same way I did for the example I posted for an animated signature. Also, If the image needed to be smaller I would probably lose the spots behind the text. Edit: Anybody guessed where the rest of the image idea came from? (It's quite easy and it's not from a game this time) |

Right, a slight change for the big one (the dots are now metal shimmered now)
![]() The smaller and more direct Logo ![]() Criticism is welcome ![]() |

Hmm. Yes I remember it now, but to me, it's OK for the Website, but for the actual emulator I would like to see a design that brings the old with the new and that's the reason why I incorporated graphics from some of the well known games/applications into the design with some up to date Text
![]() It's my opinion, and my guess is it could catch the eye better, especially to those who know ![]() |

This is an ooold logo I made for the XBOX port.
![]() Perhaps it should be something like this ? (without the X of course) |

Has anyone guessed the other ripped graphic yet, one is of course 'Turrican' (easy) the other is, I'll keep you guessing on that one
![]() @Retroplay Surprisingly enough I already tried that design, with the characters only and for me it was too clean cut and too easy to do in Photoshop. I wanted a better and harder challenge ![]() |

I think the name WinUAE looks great in the standard Verdana font used on EAB. What's wrong with this?
WinUAE Dress the lettering up in grad-colours or something by all means, but I think that the logo would look best if the lettering were to retain this style. The lettering in the logo on the official site is very similar to this. |

I think something along the lines of the graphic at the top of this page would be good:

The demosceners, in the 80's n'n 90's who designed the logos would of said 'boring'. Take a look at the Fairlight Logo, it went through many changes but never used a boring styled font like that one.
I wanted to give the name a little bit of flare, you know, something they could be proud of and not look at it and say 'yes, that's a bog standard font we used for our logo which came with M$ Windblows' I'll have a look prowler but if I don't like it, I'm not posting the result here ![]() |

And hence the 'Win' part at the front end
![]() OK I'll compromise, my font stays at the beginning for 'Win' and you can have the 'UAE' in Verdana, good and bad together ![]() ![]() @KG I'm trying to keep away from the normal Amiga related designs, although I do have a soft spot for the boing ball and tick but I'm trying to restrain myself from using them ![]() |
