Obviously the sprite would need to changed to the original! |

BTW. EAB wrong handling links when last char is ")", like this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonder_Boy_(series) ")" must be manually added https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonder_Boy_(series)) now it works good, but looks bad, because double "))" is showed. |

That is the PC engine version, though - Dragon's trap would be interesting but since is almost a metroidvania might take a considerable amout of time, especially with Scorpion Engine

Is correct! To be honest it was a little tease, was testing out viability a while before starting on WBIII Monster Lair. Never say never but not anytime soon, that is for sure

Hello, appreciate your interest in this project logo!
It is still in active development, though there is no estimated release date as yet. Although still rough around some of the edges, can say for sure a demo will arrive in Q1 or Q2 of 2024 to whet the appetites. Meanwhile, Breakthru is imminent, though where's my beta tester gone to?! |

From my side i did all the musics already one year ago: samples taken from Hoot music player and sizes adapted: since the arcade has like 16 channels reducing to 4 has been tough but i think i did a decent job - and took some freedoms here and there

Yes, that is an olden WIP, the parrot attack wave looks a whole lot better now
Since it's bumped will give a short review of progress and challenges. The music and gfx are all done essentially, just slowly building the game engine. The panel elements are done also, very happy with those. All levels done so far are unpolished but of the approximate 28 stages in game, have done roughly 6 with another 2 started. Still working on powerups, the fireball is a tricky one to animate in Scorpion but it's only a minor issue. All other powerups, including fairy are done to. 2 challanges that have made progress stumble include the stage 2 snake boss. Tried some prototype builds but they were broken or useless. Not actually a huge clue how this is going to pan out but will keep at it. Camera scroll routine for some levels needs refining. Earok kindly helped with a new routine for original Wonderboy, so the camera scroll is arcade perfect. This may be adapted for some levels in WBIII, but not started that yet. No ETA whatsoever, but if I can nail this damn snake will throw out a decent sized demo build in the future. |
