There's an insanely enormous YouTube playlist covering Amiga game attract modes compiled and captured by Morgan Kell.

Just read his 'about' page and noticed he's not added anything new for several years so it appears that he has now departed. Damn it, that's depressing.

Hey, I think I watched a gameplay footage of yours recently : Platoon. It was a nice watch since there aren't too many YT videos about this oldie. I tried to find my way out of the jungle (first part of the game) but couldn't locate the exit. So, just in case you might consider doing another video, I sure would enjoy watching you complete the jungle part without cheating.

Thanks. Glad to hear it was worth doing. I remember browsing YouTube at the time and only finding very poor quality footage so wanted to improve on that, even if I didn't have a hope in hell of recording a legitimate longplay demonstrating competent gameplay skills. I'll leave that to the World of Longplays veterans.

What with Platoon being one of the hardest, most infuriating games I've ever played I don't imagine I'd get off the starting blocks without cheating. I'm mostly interested in capturing relevant moments to compare to source material or set the scene so trainers are the quickest and easiest way to achieve that.

Indeed... Featuring one of the worst game mechanisms, being shot dead from outside the screen, Nathan Never has that too.

That's unforgivable, especially given the crazy, unrelenting pace. But for its connection to one of the all-time greatest Vietnam war movies, I doubt I would have given the game a second look. As it is, I found it fascinating to over-analyse its adaptation. I'm drawn in, hook, line and sinker every time.

Some games in the first post's list show an introduction, with text and graphics, but no actual gameplay.

I'm not sure this qualifies as having a proper attract mode...

Two more :
Blood Money, more of a simili attract mode, since the heli doesn't move nor shoot during demo
& Pipeline (1989) (Brown, Richard) this one is missing from both HoL and Lemon, here is a description with pics, courtesy of lilalurl.

Shaq Fu automatically displays a picture and short biography of each selectable character before they take on an opponent in demo mode.

Many Graftgold games have attract mode (Rainbow Islands, Simulcra), also some Bitmap Bros titles.

Braben and Maclean games too, Elite series, Virus, Snooker, IK+.

I think Virus has a greater attract mode than almost all other titles that just record joystick movements and play them back. The AI plays differently every time.
