If you want to read .guide files in your browser, a good solution is to go to https://www.taws.ch and in the System:Utilities/ there is "Parse AmigaGuide" which you can use to open the guide and read it. The result is pretty good and I sometimes use it when I am creating my own guides on my Linux system.

Thank you for that, I will have a look at that, usually I am writing the guide on my Amiga but when I am away that will be very helpful.

Issue 2 of What IFF? is now available for download, it has been uploaded to Aminet but can be downloaded from the WhatIFF website as well. Thank you to everyone involved in this issue, especially to Invent and klx300r, your contributions have really helped the 2nd issue become something more substantial, thank you for all your efforts! Enjoy issue 2!

Yeah, I did not think I would enjoy the Amiga Guide style, but it has been part of the fun.

Thanks guys, I am relieved people are enjoying it and the Amiga Guide format is not causing problems lol. The main reasoning behind going for Amiga Guide was that it would make it easier to use the magazine guides alongside the software, using the L Amiga + M to switch between the screens.

Thank you everyone, I am happy to hear that you are enjoying it on the Amiga as well. I have started putting the 3rd issue together and already got some great contributions coming in from klx300r and invent along with an interesting interview with the chip muscian gwEm in the bag. Right well back to writing the next Lightwave and Brillance guides By the way anyone interested in writing for the Amiga Rant next issue, you can write anything you like about the Amiga.

Issue 3 of What IFF? just went live on the: www.whatiff.info website and the Gemini capsule site: whatiff.flounder.online
We have some great content from John Scolieri, setting up an Internet clock, reviews of Roadie, Indivision AGA Mk3, PiMiga 2.0 and Roadshow. There is an interview with gwEm, the Amiga chip musician and a continuation of the Lightwave, Brilliance and OctaMED tutorials. This issue sadly Steve Lord and Kevin Suanders were not able to make it but hopefully they will be able to make it back for issue 4 or 5 Enjoy! |
