PES 6 or PES 7(called something else I think).
I have only recently bought FIFA 10 and it seems good so far, I don't see what all the fuss was about though, maybe I need to learn a few more moves/tricks. |

SWOS is the best game ever for its unlimited playability. Best footy game for technical and beauty of play is pro evo 6.
FUNNIEST footy game is gazzas super soccer (2nd on i think) instead of running, you just do a slide tackle repeatedly with the ball. It looks like your player is on a motorbike and you can literally zoom to the other end of the pitch, looks stupid, plays crap but soo funny! |

HAHAHAHAHAA

Right, but not everyone recognise it due to lack of skills or time spending/patience in playing it. SWOS surprises me EVERYTIME I play it, and I play it since the first release. Noone will ever be able to know all aspects of the game as always new ones appear. Motivation factor is unbreakable and not comparable with other footies, and extremely funny scenes and bugs too...just a masterpiece of a game |

Goal! Has provided me and my bro with nigh on 16 years of non-stop monthly play and still doesn't get boring.
Probably Sensible after that. Never got on with Fifa or Pro Evo, but I love the gameplay of the latest editions so I think it's the lack of time I can invest in them that's the problem. Quote:
GOAL! Oh I said that. |

I was searching for info on the Amiga FIFA conversion but found this far more interesting thread.
Favourite Amiga football game was SWOS, I started with the original Sensi Soccer but then got hooked on the transfer market aspects of SWOS - I loved wheeling and dealing - sometimes playing the odd league game! I always remember getting to the end of the season - and the long wait whilst all the leagues and number crunching took place for the next season! Favourite Non-amiga football game was FIFA 96 on the PC/Saturn/32x/3DO the first FIFA that more "3D" - I used to love trying to score from the halfway line, and the graphics were such a change from the first FIFA. Happy memories. |

Football games took a long time to evolve and get right... I remember always preferring to play Ice Hockey and American Football games years ago - with the exception of Sensible Soccer quite a few Football games were a bit of a let down.

I would have to say SWOS, but although its a different type of football game, Brutal Football is great fun. A different time of game again... Ultimate Soccer Manager!

It must be SWOS !
I'd also like to mention FIFA WC 2002 - the [fevernova effect] and the orchestration |

I played Sensible Soccer a lot more then Kick Off 2 because my 'amiga friends' prefered sensi. Eventhough sensible soccer is a lot of fun I always thought that Kick Off 2 was the better game.
