The #-Z packs don't include everything, they contain roughly about 40-50% of the whdload games. I'm just working my way through the rest now, adding as many as I can to each monthly pack. Just take a look

Do they overwrite the duds if unpacked to the same folder??

Yes and no.

If you are unzipping the pack to a dir then not always no.

Take the jaguar zip for example. The one in the original J pack was called:

JaguarXJ220_v1.2_1200.zip

Whereas the install in the March pack is called:

JaguarXJ220_v1.2.zip

So as you can see, they will both be able to co-exist in the same folder.

If however, you mean once the individual zips are unpacked, then yes they will overwrite as the folders within the zips are both called "JaguarXJ220".

Hope that info helps

Also make sure to answer Y to overwrite when unarchiving.

It helps.

Are there updated CLRMame dats anywhere? ARMAX's are pretty well out of date:

I'll create some this month but bear in mind some games won't be included in the dat as they have names that aren't supported.

I'll list these ones seperately (I think it's only one or two).

I believe ARMAX's dat either fixed the problem of the international characters, or CLRMame added a scanning/rebuilding feature in the recent past to handle those. Either way, I seem to recall that those ARMAX dats did the job fine, even on the international names, because they rebuilt my set cleanly.

Well I built a dat about a month ago and they didn't solve the problem so armax either ignored the files which caused the problem or changed the dat accordingly.

From checking recently it was a file with * in it.
