I'll ask here as I feel this thread is somehow relevant:
Sometimes when I boot my Amiga 1200 the Indivision boot pic is getting garbaged... The video pic is still wonderful and smooth in Workbench etc. Only the boot pic is getting garbaged! I've tried to seat the indy with all my force (CBM Lisa chip), still no change! What should I do? Reflash it? It's not that much of a deal, but I want it to show the pic how it's supposed to be shown. |

Yes, I have output, even I have got good output and even I see the Indivision logo, so I think my unit is faulty. No problem, Vesalia (like Amigakit) is a serious shop, I will contact them tomorrow.

A few possibilities:
A600 PSU is pretty weak for an expanded A1200... I'd definitely try a better one. Even with a good PSU, you might need additional juice connected to the floppy power connector. With the Indi connected, I get all kinds of weird screen corruption and crashes if I don't. If your motherboard is an older C= manufactured one, the caps need to be replaced. |

Do you think it could be really a PSU related problem?

I ran my system (Indivision AGA, CF card hard drive, and Ide-Fix / Express, M 1230 XA or my Mtec Viper) on a stock A600 PSU at 5V 3 Amps and never had any issues. I was worried about it and upgraded to an A500 PSU at 5V at 4.5 Amps just to be safe.

An A600/1200 standard PSU is too limited in term if power. I use an A500 PSU to be quiet.

How Vesalia fix your Indivision, Xenon ? And how to get an answer from Vesalia or Jens ? Last edited by Cosmos; 16 July 2011 at 18:12. |

They replied me to my email and to my letter (package)...
"One of the pins in the socket was badly bent inwards so it did not make good contact. We have fixed this, now the Indivision works flawlessly and is properly recognized by the software." |
