How do you start the game? I tried '1', F1, Space, Return and of course the fire button... no luck.

you need to train more! Level 1 is super easy.

Thanks for the vid & coverage! I just discovered that the music is triggering during the demo, which is certainly not wanted

I hear that like sfxes are triggered on the second channel while the last two are left free for such use.

Looks good for me. Except this. "5 for coins, 1 to start."
Not all Amigas has keyboard.
And this is not normal Amiga way to start arcade conversion, even if conversion needs emulate "Insert Coin" slot. Much better is using other button (Fire 2 or LMB or RMB) to insert coin and Press Fire (1) to play.

fire inserts a coin, up starts 1P game, down starts 2P game

I will change that. Game seems to use 3 different channels plus music. I'm not too much into sound emulation, that said.

Ok, this is Your conversion, but again it dont looks good for me.
Especially Up for 1P game and Down for 2P game.
Much better will be displayed short black screen with white texts, before game is started with all necessary infos.
From my memory some arcade games has cheat mode activated by pressing buttons and moving joysticks with right rotation.

I don't like to pollute other screens with that, but it could be added in the "thanks for playing" screen actually.

I think about something like this for displaying, before game is started:

               PENGO (Amiga version 1.00)

 music by No9

 
Insert coin - space or Blue button (joypad)
Player 1 start - Fire button port 2
Player 2 start - Fire button port 1 


   Press fire to continue.

Of course this is only example, You can wrote what You want.

For a moment i did read "5 coins to start" - OK there is inflation but this is crazy...
