Miami Chase should definately be in the collection - it is still Team 17 before they added the 1!

look at it, its so obviously the same engine as Overdrive! its by the same people! throw it on!

Indeed - Miami Chase was developed by Team17, at the very least in theory. Stick it on the CD.

I'd also like to know what Team17's stance is regarding this fanCD... considering how strict they've been with handing out permission to host their older games (so far Back2roots.org and myself are the only official distributors of their Amiga titles, AFAIK).

Worms (CD32) Needs 4Mb
How can a CD32 game originally designed for a 2Mb machine need 4Mb?

Quote:
Apparently because of some weird reasons worms doesn' t like too many files on the CD. It might be the cache in the CD32 that parse all the file so the more files on the cd the less memory present.
Hmm can you not just use addbuffers -999 cd0: or something?

Quote:
The same problem was found with the stardust, alien breed 3D, F17, arcade pool so thats why he used 2Mb whdload versions for them.
Interesting... I wonder if all games use ( successfully ) the WHDLoad preload tooltype? I've been playing with WHDLoad for the A600 / CDTV for a bit and removing buffers and using the add21k programs can really help get enough RAM for the preload to work.

Nearly all games are playable from a 2Mb CD32.
If your CD32 has Fast memory or a 68030, the games will be optimised for a faster loading.

If your using WinUAE, add 2MB Fast memory to speed up the games.

I have made this CD (522MB) availabe for free together with Bips 200 CD32 game collection and Synchro Amiga Tribute CD v1.0 and v1.1. Currently I have pretty much heavy traffic all day so thats why im searching for people who have FTP's running that can make the CD availabe for download like me. Just let me know and I'll upload it myself

FTP ADDRESS:
IP: animepowers.myftp.org
Name: CD32
Pass: CD32
Port: 21
Note: offline at night

I didn't know there was a 68030 CD-32?
Didn't it use a 68020 CPU only?
Could you upgrade it like the A1200?

Yep, you get a &8030 CD32 if you add the SX32 Pro expansion to it, the plain SX32 only adds the A1200 connectors and a VGa port and you can add a harddrive and fit a 8meg 72pin simm module so you get 8meg fast ram.

I second the Bit Torrent idea. I use Emu Paradise's tracker. It's easy and everyone will connect at once, no bandwidth issues, etc. There's a torrent of Amiga emulator and 800 games right now also.

You can make a torrent with Azureus very easy...

I will be contacting Team17 regarding hosting this fanmade CD on my site for downloading. If I can get permission, that means that the CD becomes semi-legal.

Despite trying loads I still cannot get on the FTP. I pretty much know what I am doing network-wise but still cant access the one mentioned (e.g. I can get on Kombatsanta's no problems). Seems maybe it doesn't do passive FTP? dunno. I can't even get an LS off it.

Anyway the point is has anyone else got this elsewhere that I might try?
