Retro-Nerd, excuse me for the very late reply. I have tried yesterday night with 17.0 and it works better, no need to remove preload from some games.
Also a questions: i have noted that games without preload hangs a while ( and the screen blacks, and the sound stops, like an interrupt ) while accessing the hd, is it "normal", maybe caused by the lack of fastmem? Before i had the standard 30 Mb disk, now i have installed a 128 Mb Transcend Disk On Module, but the situation hasn't improved that much. Thank you and happy new year! Yes that's normal. WHDLoad tries to load all game data via preload into the fastram, the more the better. It isn't that smooth anymore if you remove the preload tooltype. It's the standard tooltype, don't remove it. Otherwise your can load your games from plain disks.
