Thanks for the welcome.
Let me know if you need a cover image for any of those as well. The FAQ says 320px, do you know what DPI that translates to? Once I know what you need I can do them all at once. |

Ok thanks.
Been reading through my magazines and I have the matching AUI mags for those Superdisks. Superdisk 18 Dec 92 Superdisk 18 Jan 93 Superdisk 20 Feb 93 Superdisk 21 Mar 93 There is no Superdisk 19 that I am aware of. The Dec 92 issue has the first 18 disk (the one with AniMan), whereas the second 18 disk (the one with Octohello) is covered in the Jan 93 issue. Obviously the second Superdisk 18 was a typo and it should have been Superdisk 19. If there are any pages from the above issues that you would like just let me know. Also did some analysis of the SuperDisk.pdf that David has provided. I hope this is useful and that he can update the original. Disks that are missing (there are no programs linked to them in the pdf): 7, 8, 19, 20, 34, 37 Typos: Fullview (21 Missing closing bracket DirUsage (981/92) Should be (91/92) Insectoids from Outer Space (55/56) Has embedded line breaks XModule (41) Every other mention of disks after 38 is as a pair, this should probably be (41/42) These belong to Superdisk 19 (aka Superdisk 18v2): Epoch 3 (18) Flying Toasters (18) MagicMenu (18) (28) NumPad (18) Octothello (18) Realthings (18) WordSearch (18) The Jan 93 issue calls it SuperDisk 19 even though the disk label says 18. I have uploaded a scan of the AUI Superdisk contents pages for 18 and 19 to show what I am referring to. Also included a scan of the coverdisk label for Superdisk 18, 19, 20 and 21.
The adf for Superdisk 20 will be done on the weekend. |

I have uploaded a zip archive containing the AUI23.adf coverdisk image and disk scan image to the EAB File Server in the Collection/Coverdisk/Amiga User International subfolder. The filename is Amiga User International Superdisk #023.zip for consistency with the other coverdisk images.
The .adf file was extracted from the .dsq archive uploaded by asymetrix using the Amiga Disksqueeze application running under WinUAE. The disk scan image is that uploaded by asymetrix. |

It will not be a simple matter to convert the Superdisk 82 archive to ADF. Unlike Superdisk 23, this disk has a DiskSpare format and I will have to make changes to my WinUAE configuration to create a device to which to unpack the archive - something I haven't had time to do today, unfortunately.
The last time I unpacked DiskSpare formatted DiskSqueeze archives, it was done with Toni Wilen's uaeunpacker, but for some reason it is corrupting the disk images extracted from both the latest Superdisk archives uploaded by asymetrix. |

if it helps, here is a fragment of my mountlist file for DEVS:
Code:
DA0: Device = diskspare.device Unit = 0 Flags = 1 Surfaces = 2 BlockSize = 512 BlocksPerTrack = 12 Reserved = 2 Interleave = 0 LowCyl = 0 HighCyl = 79 Buffers = 25 BufMemType = 0 StackSize = 600 Priority = 10 GlobVec = -1 DosType = 0x444F5301 Code:
DA1: Device = diskspare.device Unit = 1 Flags = 1 Surfaces = 2 BlockSize = 512 BlocksPerTrack = 12 Reserved = 2 Interleave = 0 LowCyl = 0 HighCyl = 79 Buffers = 25 BufMemType = 0 StackSize = 600 Priority = 10 GlobVec = -1 DosType = 0x444F5301 Code:
mount DA0: addbuffers DA0: echo DA0: >ENV:DSQusr I was using Diskspare.device 3.2 and LZX 1.0 '20 I am now updating diskspare to 3.3 and to use LZX1.21r_Y2KFixed I will upload some new 23/82 AUI DSQ later today. Last edited by asymetrix; 11 August 2011 at 23:58. Reason: added note |

Thanks for the info, asymetrix.
The problems I am having extracting the Diskspare formatted disk image are caused by the old version of the emulator I am using. While it is perfectly adequate for everything else I wish to do under emulation, it evidently doesn't support access to the emulated floppy drives via custom device drivers and mountfiles - not even CrossDOS! Over the last couple of days I've become quite an expert on how to do this without ever succeeding. I even mounted AUI_104.ADF (another Diskspare image) successfully as a hard drive (Surfaces=2, Reserved=2, Sectors=12, Block-Size=512) and entered "echo DH3: >ENV:DSQusr" and "echo DH3: >ENVARC:DSQusr" from the CLI just to have DiskSqueeze tell me that "Your Amiga cannot assign DH3: as a custom device" probably because it lacked a device driver and mountlist! I'm going to make one last attempt to do this tomorrow using fmsdisk.device, and then I will transfer everything to my A1200. I just haven't got time to update my emulator at the moment. |

Hi
OK ive uploaded my set, here and the zone. It contains the original DSQs and new DSQs. What happens with mine is that AUI23 loads fine on WB using DiskSpare device then running DiskSqueeze DF0: button is fine. Now AUI 82 is a different beast, It still did not get recognised using DiskSpare, but got detected when NOT ONLY using the mounlist as DA0:, BUT ALSO NEEDED the command ADDBUFFERS DA0: then the disk got recognised ! Second problem is DisKSqueeze does NOT LIKE the disk to pack in DF0:, it pops up a requester disk in DF0: has read errors and not properly formatted. But when you use the command : Code:
echo DA0: >ENV:DSQusr Now my question is what happens when I press the convert to DMS option ? I wonder if Tony can help ? So we need an updated DSQ to ADF converter that can support mountfiles. |
