Ah ok. It's only nitpicking. I'll take the older guest-crt-int shader you've posted yesterday. And thanks again for the nice lores shader.

Hey, you are welcome.
I think this time it's better in this regard as the mask is applied without changing the line brightness. |

Indeed the current one looks best so far.
It's a shadow mask, right? Have you tried a aperture grille version too? I like the Trintron CRT style. Last edited by Retro-Nerd; 01 July 2017 at 20:51. |

I've tried some masks and the aperture grille one looks best with this type of scanlines.
Didn't want to make it to pointy though, but the effect can be more intense. ------------------------------------------------ I also produced another iteration of the crt shader. It may be a very nice TV shader because of the smoother graphics. Edit: new version, a bit nicer. Last edited by guest.r; 07 July 2017 at 14:39. Reason: Updated shader version. |

Hey, no problem, glad you mentioned it.

Hehe, looks really great. Though a tiny bit too much blur imo, even with a B=0 value for the horizontal filter. Anyway it's a fine lores shader.

@guest.r Looks like you're doing good work with shaders. If you'd like them included with FS-UAE (now or later), just bundle them up in a zip and send to frode@fs-uae.net
(But they must be distributable under a suitable open source-license or public domain) |

Thanks for the sharpness implementation for Hyllian. Looks much better now. Together with the Phospor and Scanline Strength values you get pretty good results.
edit: Is it possible to port this shader to WinUAE? I have the Tyson CRT shader, which is pretty good. But it uses antialiasing and that looks bad for text/fonts. Last edited by Retro-Nerd; 04 July 2017 at 16:04. |

Note: this shader is for WinUAE. Edit: Faster version of CRT-Guest-Lo-Res (original version can cause slowdowns). Last edited by guest.r; 12 July 2017 at 20:10. Reason: Saturation option added, crt-guest added, hi-res version added. |

Thanks to DEBUG_SOURCE_SHADER_COMPILER env.-var. I get a little more verbose log output. I hope this will help to find the problem. Code:

Hey, nice for givin it a try.
Can you test these versions? Nevertheless, good compatibility is important. |

hyllian is working but it seems that it is too much for my MacMini i5 because the sound ist stuttering. even guest will not work. FS-UAE reports a compiling error and ignores the filter.
Do you have any hints for me? I really like to play games with the guest filter! |

Hi there!
Can't say much without a log report (hint: cache\logs\fs-uae.log.txt) and i didn't test it on an Intel gpu, don't own one. But i made a crt-guest-fast version which should work fast enough i guess, if it gives you trouble just attach your log file or quote the relevant segment. |
