Yes, there is transparency. A few moments before you use gearsppc.exe does a "GURUMEDITATION" appear for a few moments in red? It would be interesting to know the choices you made when installing the ELBOX CD Thanks If you need help installing other applications I'm happy to help you :-) |

Yes,at the first launch. With a text " WarpOs Emulation provided by ". So far, I've only used your first tutorial with success. For lack of time, I have not yet tried directly an installation from the ELBOX utilities and drivers. I would test this weekend. We misunderstood each other I think. I was just asking you why you didn't use the elbox CD and its updates during your installation. Last edited by Zarnal; 07 January 2021 at 20:04. |

now I understand it was a question do not use them they are not needed with the 4.1FE If you go ahead with the installation in the next few days and you need help, feel free to ask I'm glad to help you if you need it. You are the first to go beyond the usual installation :-) (at least I think so) You can also try E-UAE if you want I will be happy to help you with this. Excuse the question what processor do you use? Once everything is done you will have the 4.1FE working in case you can always use UAEGFX at a later time if Voodoo3 deems it limited. The installation principles are the same |

E-UAE is a bit difficult to configure properly with JIT enabled. There are two executables one is "SDL" and the other and written for "X1000" both can be used. Winuae is compatible with both You can contact me privately for more details on how to do this. |

Thank you. I will not hesitate to ask you questions if necessary. I use an very old Core2Duo T7250... 2Ghz with i965 Express Chipset . Only for tests. Slow with OS4 but Ok for A500 emulation. |

Just a note: Voodoo 3 emulation really needs more than 2 cores, especially if PPC emulation is also active. It can use up 4 threads for rendering emulation.

I understand.
@White It's really strange (see pic 1). Now "Gears" seems OK with OS4. I don't understand... Last edited by Zarnal; 17 May 2021 at 19:12. |

Performed an AmigaOS4.1FE + Voodoo3 (PCI GRex 1 gigabyte of ram) test with the new Beta15 with applications the stability is excellent and also the speed the test was carried out on a .hdf at a resolution of 1024x768 16bit with the latest updates 1 & 2 + hotfix
I have to add the scripts for online viewing of streaming sites and configure E-UAE with the new resolutions of Voodoo3 and put all the various emulators etc. etc. For games I'll do some tests later. I'd like to create a script that frees up library resources and assigns new libraries to use based on the game to be used with a simple click. Any help is welcome. Currently the Beta15 allows to work without problems with the 4.1FE + Voodoo3 [ Show youtube player ] |

Oops... it's 68K version... I used the wrong icon, but PPC version on OS3 works well... My tests with OS4 : WipeOut 2097 : Wipeout starts ( in " slideshow " mode but i will try next WE with a recent PC ) with Rewarp ( pic 1 ). With Warp3D (OS4), its crashed ( pic 2 ). My tests in OS3/PPC mode : WipeOut 2097 : With Warp3D ( OS3 ) in PPC mode, i have wrong colors ( pic 3 ). No fullscreen/ hardware choice because no mode ID found. Warp3d demos : Demo " Gears PPC version " is Ok Demo " engine " won't start because " No Mode ID found ". Demo " GlSokoban " seems ok. Demo " Warptest " is Ok. My tests with OS3 68k : Warp 3D 68K : Demo " Engine " won't run because " No Mode ID " found. Demo " GlSokoban68k " crashed with " Halt 3 " error ( pic 4 ). For the games I'll try too these days. Mad-Matt certainly can help you a lot more than me. Even if for example Wipeout works for me I have to understand exactly how to make the games and applications compatible with each other obviously also with the current version of winuae which I am very happy with :-) here is the snoopdos output for gears-ppc as an example maybe it is useful to find a solution or something similar. It would be useful to understand if the current Rewarp - PatchWarp3D - Warp3D_CPU_PPC could somehow coexist currently seem to work with many ppc game and demo executables and be updated somehow. I have no idea it's probably a topic already covered, I've never had a voodoo3 with ppc systems :-) "THE TEST WAS CARRIED OUT WITHOUT ANY PATCH APPLIED" Log Generated by; Snoopy 54.107 (27.12.2020) Thanks for your tests.
This is a short video of WipeOut 2097 in 640*480 fullscreen Voodoo 3 " hardware " 16 bits with my core2duo in action and... It's also uncontrollable correctly with my keyboard. Settings are in pic 1. [ Show youtube player ] Note: this seems like correct with the audio CD enabled, but I only did a really short test with it. Last edited by Zarnal; 17 May 2021 at 19:11. |

Great, You are applying some of these patches: ReWarp - PatchWarp3D - Warp3D_CPU_PPC for your tests in games and applications? Thanks. separate note: can you try this DemoPPC? https://files.scene.org/view/parties..._sulaco-ok.lha https://files.scene.org/view/mirrors...ore-Sulaco.lha These Demos work but you should see some "missing textures" and noisy sound with no patch applied Last edited by White; 14 January 2021 at 11:31. |

I forgot to mention that in winuae the SOUND entry disable both voices in INTERPOLATION this will give a clean sound with 4.1FE without audio problems with applications etc.

Many demoppc works without problems without patches
after all, the amiga world is a bit like that you also have to select and try and get a small collection of things that work. Even on the 68k side there is occasionally some demo that doesn't work. The result is extraordinary. Although games occupy a dedicated part of this genre in ppc emulation it is not essential, in the end everything works fine :-) Last edited by White; 14 January 2021 at 13:09. |

I would need help to understand what I have to do.
"Wos" what does it mean? I assume it's WarpOS Do any packages need to be installed in 4.1FE to enable WarpOS compatibility? for example in the 3.9 in the cd there is the version included and then it must be updated with the update 5.1 How do you do it with 4.1FE? Thanks for any explanation. |

@White
I have the same problems as you with " Sulaco-Encore " demo. Here is a video with OS4 + Rewarp ( you will notice at the end the very high framerate ). [ Show youtube player ] No problem with OS 3.1 / PPC and this demo. |

@Zarnal
Thanks for your test but have you applied rewarp? you have created the directory "Warp3DPPC" in prefs / env-archive and inserted the file patchall? sorry for the questions i know perfectly well that it is boring and just to know if the patch is applied correctly Thanks. if you apply the patch like this the demo will show perfectly Last edited by White; 15 January 2021 at 20:03. |
