Little improvement at Interlagos. Added a video.

[ Show youtube player ]

The original video was 50fps but youtube changed it to 25fps.

Phoenix - 1:16:456 = 76456
Interlagos - 1:10:415 = 70415
Monaco - 1:16:446 = 76446
Adelaide - 1:10:742 = 70742

Total = 294059

C'mon slow down, give the rest of us a chance!!

I can't seem to get to grips with this game, which is a shame as I know the tracks off by heart (except for Pheonix, USA). My current err... times:

USA ------> 1:45.416 (105.416)
Brazil ----> 1:24.480 (84.480)
Monaco --> NO TIME
Adelaide -> NO TIME

Practise, practise, practise, practise The tyres are good only for some laps. Then they wear down. In my introduction lap I don't use full throtle to save the tyres. Look at the videos. There you can see the speeds of each corner.

Thanks, but I'm lucky if I make it round the track on the out lap without hitting the walls at Pheonix! On my first go I crashed into the wall on the out lap, 2nd attempt I made it round the out lap only to crash at the start of the timed lap!!! It took 6 or 7 attempts for me to make it round the out lap and 1st timed lap withough hitting the walls, and then on my 2nd timed lap I ended up being slower than my 1st - despite flooring it and actually going up the gears on the straights!!!

How much damage does hitting the wall do? I have seen bits break off the front wing a few times and on one occasion I had to be lifted off the track as my engine died!!

My attempts at Brazil went much better, as I already know the track layout. It's just getting the hang of shifting up/down gears and learning how late I can break on some of the corners.

Lonewolf I was the same - it took me some time to complete a lap without destroying the car
The damage indicator is the little car picture (bottom/right).
You can get away with scraping walls but if something is damaged it will appear in yellow. Engine damage and tyre wear don't show in the indicator. Press 'Q' to quickly re-enter pits.

Janci, I'm not sure why youtube change your video to 25fps, but it could be your video codec. I use x254vfw codec with virtualdub and youtube seems to like it.

Btw I have gone sub 1:10 time on Interlagos
Will upload later after I have a go at monaco & adelaide, but now is time to watch australian grand prix!

I'm using lagarith codec. Youtube can process it. I uploaded before a short clip and youtube did not change it to 25fps. But the big one it changed. And now i uploaded 20 secs from interlagos and it stayed at 50fps

Phoenix - 1:15:699 = 75699
Interlagos - 1:09:798 = 69798
Monaco - 1:14:788 = 74788
Adelaide - 1:09:299 = 69299

Totally disappointed with Red Bull's performance at melbourne grand prix, so I take my frustration out on this game

Check out the mad recovery in the Adelaide lap

Janci: That is strange, I've heard that youtube is picky with codecs in regard to new 50/60fps modes.. maybe try x254 if it keeps happening

Thanks for the times ED, certainly great to see the game played at full frame rate on youtube for a change.

I also posted your laps on Lemon, and I think it helps players, but perfecting the lap is not so easy as it looks.

Amazing saved lap on Adelaide, this was more fun than watching the actual AUS GP this afternoon. !

Massive laps ED. That will be hard to top. Don't want be nitpicky but you missed first chicane at Adelaide. But the recovery was crazy.

I can't get this to emulate, I just a blue screen shortly after loading. Is it ok to use the normal version that isn't sped up? Or could someone suggest some UAE settings (even upload a working configuration?)

Thanks.

Token attempt. Obviously a very detailed game but not one I've got much time to play properly. I was just happy to complete some full laps without crashing and having to start again.

USA: 2:03:217 = 123,217
Brazil: 1:49:249 = 109,249
Australia: 1:52:229 = 112,229
