I'm pretty sure there will be a hdf of this game so you can just mount it easily, like an adf.

Also, CD32...not everyone has one of those, x100

I meant making it a CD game in general. I know this engine is limited and everything, but still...

There is probably (much) more people with an HDD by now than a CD Drive, on real Amiga or emulation system

Pretty sure it will work from CD if you wanted. But if you're using WinUae/Emulation don't worry about it. There are easy ways to run such things.

I would'nt be surprised that there is also not many people actually playing straight from physical floppies on real hardware nowadays.
There is many cheap solutions to avoid that.

Yeah we're in 2023 now. I can't even figure how this is possible to write "making the full game hard drive-only is kind of a silly move...not everyone has one of those" in these days.

The share of computers without an HDD in the world is infinitesimal. Even in the Amiga world, for sure (especially if you count people using emulation).

I mean it's probably best to get an idea of the game size without worrying about floppys then if the author wants and is feasible create a floppy version.

Very good job! Looks very good.

Just to know it, how is difficult to port shinobi arcade to Amiga?

The original port is mesh

Shinobi would need a lot of work to be graphically good on A500.

On A1200 it would be easier in 64 colors or higher.

Of course, would be amazing that Amiga get the shinobi port even only for AGA machines, the version that was released was bad, very bad.

Just an idea for a next project

This crappy a600 has sentimental value for me so I have no intrest to make any aga games. And as a rather sad update might have to target 2mb amigas but I am trying to keep with 1mb if I can.

Maybe it would be possible to make AGA Gfx for you ? I suppose that if you use scorpion Engine it would be "just" replacing OCS gfx assets with the AGA ones ?

Starting work on my first boss as the assets are so big I have split him in 2 to save on memory. All testing is now done using a600 (emulated) to ensure I am working within the correct memory constraints and to check performance. Here is a screenshot so you can take in that 32 colour goodness lol.
