Is Amibay now on the classicamiga.com servers? Has Harrision been lending a hand with hosting?

Yes and yes. AmiBay is now on a 1&1 server instead of the over-subscribed Bluehost server it was on previously. Harrison had some spare capacity and we were glad to accept the offer.

If all goes well, it should be back online in VB flavour tomorrow morning (Friday).

Hi everyone.
As many of you have questions about how the migration is going, I thought I would post a little update to keep you all informed. I've now completed the migration over to vB. All went as planned, everything migrated over successfully, and the site is now fully working under vBulletin. I now just need to finish going through all of the forum settings, and group permissions, and setup the replacement feedback system and adjust the templates. Then it will be ready to go live. And as Merlin said, the site is due to go back online tomorrow morning. I will post again on here this evening once I'm closer to completing the migration to keep you all up to date on how it is going. |

Hi again everyone.
I am delaying the launch until this afternoon now as I want to fully test everything before it goes live. Sorry for making you all go cold turkey a bit longer. |

Good idea, IMHO. The last thing you need is finding that you didn't apply patch ZZ9pluralZ alpha, only for that to be a target vector...
