So TodaysForgotten, Off1k, Xpect et John4p use the two sticks to play, one to move the hero, the other to direct the shooting, is that right?
I use a simple saturn pad with directionnal flick and two buttons ![]() |

I thought that was maybe a possibility and i'm not even sure if the game is that high-tech to do that. I use the left analog to aim my gun and the fire button locks it into the place. Only one analog. |

Yeah, for me is more intuitive and i get better scores with directional only. I avoid better the rocks with just a quick off on the fire button, as the joystick is already up. I don't know but for me works way better. I use a Logitech Wingman Cordless, and use always the analog pads for games. |

I'm using the two stick option too - with Comp Pro. Feels much better, but my left hand needs a little work.

I can't get past level 11 either, it took me ages to get past level 8 and 9 so God only knows if I'll get past this bit before the compo actually ends

The 2 joysticks-option is really highly recommendable. Great fun! If you wanna try it, too, and have a gamepad with 2 sticks, this is the setup in WinUAE:
![]() I use the dpad to move (and jump) and the right analog stick to fire - no other buttons involved. Sometimes the main sprite behaved weird: it jumped and ran around unforced. That's why you also have to deactivate the mouse movement in WinUAE: ![]() Now the gameplay experience is perfect. ![]() |

So no need to press any firebutton? Well maybe I give it a try, but I think level 11 will still kill me

Yes, no firebutton needed - only the dpad (or left stick) to move and right stick to fire.
Level 11 is one of the hardest because of its three giant rocks resulting in rocks everywhere - and you have nowhere to hide. I always grab the shield (and other stuff on the way) and then position myself at the left wall. Always jump over the sphere - but stay at the wall. Mostly fire up/right, of course - and do collect the second shield when it appears. If there should be too many rocks on the left side at one point you can try to run over to the right side (risky...) and take them out safely. |

M'Kay, so I will set up the two joystick config for my impact pad and try level 11 the way you suggested
