@ Cammy:
Are you using an NTSC system? Would you mind sending me your .start files? I'll have a look. I'm pretty sure the games not booting is due to faulty .start files or wrongly configured game folders. Did you modify any of the files that came with the toolkit? Did you test the disc prior to burning? Last edited by lennonlives; 13 October 2008 at 08:50. |

Great stuff lennon ! The usage is a bit different than your previous version though ... What I especially like is the speedy control... you can flash through the menu now.
Best regards and big THANX, Tomaz |

As TheCyberDruid pointed out correctly, it's inside the WHDLoad package. It's already part of the toolkit, but the executable has been renamed to WHDLoad to make switching between different versions just a matter of exchanging the executable

OK, since I already did over 500 screenshots using the AGS palette from one of the CD32 compilations (the one with Pacman on the top) and I did all .start files and 90% of them have .txt descriptions I decided I would use this AMS version for my A1200 in the living room (it was either this or wait for Killer Gorillas front-end... but for that i would need to either wait for his screenshots or re-do ALL screenshots I did already).
AMS version works really nicely - I love the support for shoulder buttons, when it re-loads it stays in the same "folder" (since it is all done with ASSIGN's) and ofcourse the scrolling - it is really nice (it is too fast when there aren't that many files in the folder, but I made some bogus files and a custom font so the filenames aren't visible). Actually now it does EVERYTHING I ever wanted and I didn't have to code anything ;-) Here are a couple of screenshots running it... (I took your menu picture and changed its palette to mine so it fits... ). Thanx again ! |

Come on, people. Someone must have tried it
I've just finished version 1.1 of which two builds exist: one for the CD32 and one for all other AGA Amigas using a harddisk. The latter doesn't require a CD32 joypad for fast scrolling anymore, but allows moving the joystick left and right for the same effect. Works a treat with my Competition Pros |

Works really nicely lennon Haven't tried 1.1 yet since I don't think it will bring anything new for me. I am actually using CD32 joypad on A1200 and everything works as it should there with 1.0 ...

Hey tomcat666,
thanks for the feedback. I did some research about those graphical bugs you reported to me. It seems they are somehow connected to the screenshots used with AMS. I don't really know why, but I was able to remove the green artifacts by replacing screenshots they appeared with with other ones. I'm really a bit clueless about this matter and I wonder if this is AMS's fault at all... |
