Demo 1 by The Star Frontiers, released in 1987, was the first demo to include both ASM and C sources on disk. Demo was coded by Quark.
Readme from Quark: This DEMO is Public Domain and may be spread freely. The Demo boots directly with this disk. To compile the program, use Aztec-C Compiler and the makefile in this directory. (I think the code could probably compile with Lattice, but care should be taken with the assembler macros in display.asm and the Assembler directives). The help.i file will be of use perhaps if you write your own code accessing the Amiga hardware. This Code, after loading several recources and initialising data structures, directly jumps into the assembler routine, canceling all interrupts and multitasking. There's no return. I hope, you enjoy it. - quark, from SF Demo and sources can be downloaded from: http://ftp.amigascne.org/pub/amiga/G.../TSF-Demo1.lha [ Show youtube player ] http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=14519 https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=24325 https://demozoo.org/productions/219777/ |

Released in April 1993, Interference by Sanity was the first Amiga demo to use six big balls. The big balls routine was coded by Cosmos and was a world record at the time.

This looks like 6 bitplanes in half-brite mode due to the fact one of the circles is always a darker shade of the other colors.

What's the world record for big balls? Rink a Dink: REDUX by Lemon released in March 2013, and ranked 1st in Revision 2013 demo compo, feature 9 big balls, the coder Paradroid mentioned in the demo: "A world record? I actually found out about an OCS demo that had already done 8 after finishing this effect, so I went back and redid it to get an extra one in there. This was all done with bitplanes which is why I was able to add a translucency effect too, unlike other demos which use sprites for the balls at the back. A think I can push the number even higher, but that will be the task for another demo."

DERP 2014 Invitation intro, coded by Photon of Scoopex, was released in September 2013 and ranked 2nd place in the Amiga competition at the Gerp 2013 party. Notably, it holds the world record for number of real time bobs in an Amiga OCS.

XLarge by Spreadpoint was released in February 1989 and is likely the record holder for multiple text scrollers, featuring a total of 48.

Going by pure amount, the one in Freedom Force Megademo (1989) has over 50 scrollers, and I'm sure I saw even more elsewhere when the simultaneous scrollers competition was still on. [ Show youtube player ] |

I'm surprised this one wasn't mentioned:

Bobluni II: The Revenge by Visual Arts (AKA Electronic Artists), released in October 1989, deserves a mention as the first demo to showcase 220 four-colored bobs. Pwy was the coder behind this demo.
