Yeah would love to see an ECS/OCS version of AW2 on the Amiga, but AGA would still be cool, even if i couldn't play it.

Well... I haven't done much yet...
The only thing that works right now is the screen update engine, and this still needs optimization. It's actually an important part of the game: It takes care of the animated and non-animated tiles with sprite animations on top of them. Before I continue I'm doing an improved version of my system frame, which will include Workbench screen support. Without this frame the port isn't going to happen. So although I haven't worked on it for quite some time, I've been feeling motivated to do something, which is part of the reason I'm re-doing the basis for this port (although it's quite a universal system frame which can be used for many other projects as well). Note: Don't hold your horses. I've said I'd do something in the past and then I didn't do it, so I'm certainly not going to do that again. Should be easy enough (and is worth the effort), although the graphics have to be down tuned (not a problem, already tried it). |

Good luck with finishing this project Thorham, AW is very suited to AGA and would make a great game on the big screen (I played it to death on my GBA).

Was playing AW2 on my PSP yesterday. Still can't win against the AI.
Won't have my Amiga for a while, would be nice if there was a sort of alpha alpha version out when i got it back up and running, don't suppose there would be any chance of that? Heehee. |
