That the same driver i've been using myself, which seems to be only USB mode. - on both Windows and OSX. I guess using a USB-bluetooth dongle is a way of cheating that into wireless? If certain people could avoid turning this thread into another "why winuae is amazing" thread, that would be great though. |

Nice find! @Horace: I'm sure PS3 UAE is nice - it's just not worth the hassle for me right now since I have both my notebook and my PS3 hooked via HDMI on my LCD projector. Still when I find the time I'll maybe try it one day, too... |

See my post after the one you quoted. There is no 'cheating' involved. The PS3 pads are bluetooth controllers. Using bluetooth dongle (or integrated bluetooth) is just the same way the PS3 uses to connect to the pads.

Then I'll give this a try (since currently I only play SF4 on PS3 with a wired Playstation-"15th anniversary Street Fighter"-gamepad).

@ tonyyeb I have not seen anything which suggests those pad drivers work with integrated bluetooth. the link you posted on dcemu said USB. Quite the contaty, i've seen more posts like Mick's suggesting it does not with normal integrated Bluetooth.
Certainly it does not on OSX. |

@Hungry Horace
This page here along with some of the comments seem to suggest it does work: http://davieslim.wordpress.com/2008/...ess-bluetooth/ As I have said in my previous posts I have not tested them myself as I don't have bluetooth.As for Micks problem... 64bit is a definate no as far as I am aware. 32bit should work fine. Again not tested it myself so I cannot confirm for certain. And as far OSX.... I don't remember mentioning OSX so meh! |

Just wished i had a 2.0 bluetooth dongle for this. I've only 1.1.
But by USB works great. Tested it on various emulators. |

Help Guys
I finally have E-UAE running (with MickJT's latest build for the pad config ) but i have a few things that are bugging me that i hope you can help with. 1. What screen resolutions do you have set-up in the .uaerc (for 1080p screens) full screen mode has huge black borders but i haven't set-up fscaler yet in case it's something to do with that. 2. HOW THE HELL do you get it to boot a .hdf and ... 3. Can the joystick config in the .uaerc still be modified if running MickJT's binary? and how if so (for instance, X=UP and S=Fire 1 for platformers) Think that's it for now (Linux noob i'm afraid) i've just been following the guides on the yellowdog-boards from you guys, billb, efaustus9, jaybps3 & ppietro to get me this far. |

Personally, i just keep linux in 576i, and use the double resolution. much easier that way. Quote:

on would assume so. I think his version only affects 'input mode 0' (compatibility mode) so you can still set custom layout by using Code:
input.config=1 input.1.joyport.0.button.15=JOY2_UP Last edited by Hungry Horace; 28 March 2009 at 21:51. |

Thank you
I was going to go down the folder route on an SD card but i was trying to get my DeluxeGalagaAGA.hdf to work but gave up. I'll deffo youtube your vids to have a look at your WHDLoad set-up too. Your last vid with Newzealand Story/Alien Breed was the vid that finally kicked me into gear for having a go at getting YDL6.1 set-up. Also i originally ran E-UAE from a folder on the desktop just to get things going but have since removed this and done the 'yum install e-uae" but where is this located as i can't seem to find the files (i want to overwrite uae with MickJT's version. |

Just installing YDL 6.1 on my PS3 and was wondering does E-UAE come with YDL 6.1? If not is it easy to install? I'm not a Linux person so hopefully everything will be straight forward!

Hate to break it to you... YDL 6.2 came out yesterday!!!
You can get E-UAE here: http://dribble.org.uk/listrpms10.html Download the rpm file, double click on it, it should do the rest itself. Alternatively, add dribble as a repository and do it the 'proper' way, this is a great guide: http://www.yellowdog-board.com/viewt...a93684a9ba20b8 |

Doh! Oh well I haven't put anything on my YDL install yet so I might as well go for 6.2 so long as the install isn't much different!
Thanks for the links. |

Got YDL 6.2 now installed. E-UAE installed, played Lotus as a test and worked great although I can only get my pad working with the USB cable. Am I doing something wrong but I thought you could use the pad using bluetooth?
All help appreciated! |
