What can an A1000 do that an A500 can't?

Those EA games are historically interesting but boring to play. Maybe Archon is special. And most old games have been patched to run under whdload on kickstart 1.3 emulation with some fixes (Seven cities of gold doesn't work properly though)

yes archon is the only game to rescue from such old crap
apart of the EA games there is a lot of lame old games by Kingsoft which requires old kickstarts

Talking about Kingsoft, Gravity Force isn't crap, and crashes at the end of a game because it calls ROM address directly like good old 8-bit times. Of course it is kick 1.2 ROM address

Back in the day those EA folding album sleeves were a mark of quality. Almost every game EA released then was good. =P But yeah there were a few Amiga ports in the mix that were not exactly coded well.
