Well, it works fine with the WHDLoad version of SWOS 96/97. At least with 020/30 CPUs there is no slowdown. Not sure if the career mode is still broken in this season update. Just uploaded it to the Zone!

Tested on real Amiga 500+ MTec 68020 total 10MB RAM Kickstart 3.1 - Working with 16/17 *.
Testing on Amiga 600 Emulated floppy device with 1MB only on SWOS96-97 (it works) how is it possible to get this to work on this, can I just copy the files over with data and graphs? or do I need all files like ssboot swos ect? *Notice that career mode says on my systems that I'am on Year 96/97 on the 16/17 files? |

I'm pretty sure the league names haven't been changed at all. They still use the old names (Premier League, Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3). I'm pretty sure these are the original values from the 1996 release and are hard coded into the game.

I just decompressed the lha and then copied all the new files over those in my SWOS 13/14 install. It worked perfectly after that on my 060 A1200 with the NOCACHE tooltype.

In my Amiga 1200 060 both of them works well. The 96-97 whdload version and the same version with these 2016-2017 files.

Hey dudes, patch released!
http://files.swos.eu/aswos/swos1617.lha (For Amiga 600/1200 HD, 2MB Fastram) Or, run it on Windows, with a new launcher: http://files.swos.eu/aswos/Setup_ASWOS.exe Last edited by Playaveli; 13 December 2016 at 09:27. |

Now, that's a problem for many league names, so we've decided to leave that untouched and original, instead of doing something half-baked! Quote:
You need to copy the data & grafs folder and SWOS2 file! That will do fine! Thanks, very kind of you! Last edited by Playaveli; 13 December 2016 at 19:05. |

Hmmm, it looks like I wasn't the only one having trouble unpacking it. What was it packed with? XADMaster throws strange errors for me, though the lha command seemed to work fine. However, it didn't run at all, and since I had some friends around to play it I couldn't spend any time tinkering to try and fix it, so we switched to '96/'97 instead.
I haven't looked at it since, but that's on an A1200 running OS3.9 with a Blizzard1230 IV, 32MB RAM, 60GB HD and a CD-ROM drive, which I would've thought is a pretty ordinary configuration. |
