Number 7 - Tankkk
Okay, so it looks a bit rubbish. It's a tank game, but the bullets bounce off the walls and around the mazes. It's kind of retro. If you have five people playing it at once, then it's lots of fun and you can change all the options in the game. No idea why it's called Tankkk, though! |

Maybe it's a reference to the Ku Klux Klan?
![]() Actually, the bounce-off-the-wall bullets was very effective in the coin-op classic, Tron (maybe my fav arcade game ever). |

Number 6 - Ork Attack
Now you can pretend to be taking part in the Helm's Deep battle from The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers! Lots of orks climb up the walls of the castle - you stand at the top and drop stops or slice them with your sword. As you can't have both rocks and sword at the same time, it can sometimes be difficult to decide on what to use. One mistake and you're dead! There's lots of blood and gore too... |

I used to love Knights. Surely inspired by the Moonstone intro, it even uses Ratmen sound effects for the zombies!

Number 5 - Knockout
Hey, it's an AMOS game! Lots of cars start on a circle and try to shove each other off - but the circle gets continually smaller and harder to stay on. Then the last remaining car must drive off the circle onto a bridge (a last chance for the car to fall off and lose its point). As is usual with some of the best PD games, this is a simple and good idea done very well. There are also lots of good multiplayer options. |

Ooh that sounds fun. I remember playing Street racer (on the PC), multiplayer option had the possibility to play something similar (knock your opponents into barricades to remove the barricades, and then knock them out of the ring)

Number 4 - Gravity Power
Originally called Gravity Force 2, this is an enhanced version especially made for Amiga Power who championed it, probably because of its multiplayer qualities. It's split-screen Thrust time, but with numerous configurations and maps. A map editor is also available to make your own. Great stuff! |

gravity power was specially made for Amiga Power magazine because they raved about gravity force, gravity power featured on a coverdisk (issue 50 - June 95)
excellent 2-player game |

3 and 4
Yeah, two more great games there. There was a sequel to Knockout I think, although it cluttered things up without really adding much IIRC. I did find that Knockout crashed quite a lot on my A600 though
![]() I loved Gravity Force 2, but I was always looking for the version which allowed two people to try racing each other. I remember every version I found, the race option was missing. It was always detailed in the instructions, never in the game ![]() |

Ork Attack had to rate as one of my fave PD games too. Not that I played to many AMOS titles but it seems to be the best Amos based game I played too.
A pity it's unplayable by PC keyboard-another excuse to look for a PC joystick I guess! ![]() |

Number 2 - Super Foul Egg
The name Super Foul Egg comes from an Amiga Power in-joke (they asked for it to be renamed after it was sent in for the coverdisk). The actual game is a port of Super Puyo Puyo, a game which didn't really see the commercial light of day on the Amiga. So, it was released in the shareware/PD scene (actually, I think it was supposed to be an Amiga Power coverdisk only thing, rather than freeware). The addictive part comes from trying to match the colours together, so that they disappear, but also drop rocks on the other player's side. This makes it a top two player game. |

That version looks much more playable than Outfall which is a game almost similar.

I just downloaded it yesterday (no reference to AP disk though it seems that's where it came from so it took some time getting from PE2000). Though it looks nice it somehow played worse than another clone for the Amiga called Outfall. The fact that the AI was either too easy or too hard was really annoying.
