And the final fight in the game was so damn tense!, bullets flying everywhere, for which i had to do it with only that 1 life!, but when i won it was like having relief from chronic constipation |

I just played a little bit of Battle Squadron.
It is not better than SWIV! I think you're all drunk. |

I voted for Hybris. Xenon 2 is good and has better graphics than Hybris, but somehow isn't as fun. I also like Deluxe Galaga, but level 25 is impossible! |

If you actually could be more specific why you think it is such an overrated game I could see some reason to at least accept your point of view... but it merely feels like you are bashing the game just for the sake of it? |

I don't just bash games for the sake of it. I thought I was being specific. Battle Squadron has (in my opinion) poor gameplay, ugly graphics and horrible music.

The music is nice (in chiptune style, of course) but the graphics really suck. I actually concur with his opinion of the game being mostly trying to find a space not covered with dots since, taking out most ships doesn't seem possible.

It might be that I genuinely like SHMUPs, but I can't really consider myself being 'extraordinary' good at them... but Battle Squadron hardly offered anything I would consider a big challange when 'dodging' bullets instead of hiding from them... The graphics isn't that impressive, though, I can agree on that. |

Can't find any info on T-Zero but sounds very interesting and seems to be held in high regard. Anyone able to put a WHDload version in The Zone?
I voted R-Type for the significance it had (IMHO) on the genre AND because I enjoyed playing it on every platform I tried it on. |
