Didn't know how much people hated the boing ball...maybe I should change my name to tick 1000?
Btw, I do like the tick since I have it on my 1000 |

I have 3.9, but I didn't vote for the ball. Only the tick makes me tick.

This program from Aminet... http://aminet.net/util/wb/WB-AnimAL.lha has both the Tick and the Boing Ball included as Workbench animations and even though I voted for the tick I have to say they both look good as spinning animations on Workbench -if you have never seen this it is worth a look...

Something to think about: The Amiga tick is also called the Amiga check mark, while the amiga boing ball has a checker pattern... coincidence??? you decide... |

Never liked that tick. Never. It reminded me of the coloured in VIC-20 logo (funny, that) and it was if they were trying to say "LOOK! IT DOES COLOUR!" ... but this was long after the time when having a colour-capable home computer was a big deal so it just looked old from the day and hour it came out. Also it just looked plain ugly IMHO.
Bring on the boing. |
