The Global Amiga Experience CD (278MB) and text file uploaded.
![]() I'll go and grab those 'cover' CDs now and see what I can tell you about them. I'll generate some suitable text files to go with them if they're worth hosting (I know you were hoping I'd say that ![]() Next chance I get, I'll continue uploading the Aminet CDs starting with Aminet 3. ![]() |

I don't have covers for all of them, but I can scan and upload those for the EMC Phase 4 and Index CDs, AGA Experience Volume 2 and The Global Amiga Experience CDs if that would help.
The EMC Phase 1 CD I have is the disc only, AGA Experience Volume 1 is the Amiga Format coverdisc version, and the Almathera Clipart & Fonts CD is the 10on10 version. |

Hi Exile,
I have all the Aminet CDs (1-52 plus Aminet Games) and will upload all those presently missing on the server eventually, but please note that it is not permitted to upload the original covers for the Aminet CDs or sets, because they are still available for purchase new. It is for this reason that DemonHellraiser designed and uploaded a complete set of covers with an EAB theme for the Aminet CDs when mounted in DVD cases. The cover notes for each disc replicate those of the original covers so that no useful information is lost. ![]() Have a look at them. They're rather good, actually. You'll find them in the AminetCD folder down at the bottom. ![]() |

Hi TCD,
I've had a look at those 'cover' CDs now, and it turns out that two of them (Issues 10 and 11) are Magazyn Amiga cover CDs dated March and May 1999, respectively. By the time of the other two (Issues 14 and 15, dated March and May 2000, respectively) the Magazine had evolved into a fully interactive Magazyn Amiga on a CD! The Magazine and CDs were published for Polish speaking Amiga enthusiasts, but they are nonetheless interesting for that. Perhaps you could create a subfolder for Polish magazine CDs and move them. I have prepared four text files to go with these archives. Those for issues 10 and 11 I have generated from the macover_przeczytaj and indeks files on each disc. For issues 14 and 15, I have extracted the editorial content of each magazine in HTML format from the CD and provided a much smaller, separate archive for users to view the magazine without downloading the main archive, and text files provide descriptions of the archives and instructions for using the HTML-only archives. I will upload them to my user folder shortly. Let me know if you think they will be useful. @DH, Of course they're brilliant, mate! ![]() ![]() Last edited by prowler; 16 July 2010 at 03:22. Wow! That was quick work, mate!
![]() My reply wasn't so quick because my wife and I are trying to decide whether to get ourselves a fitzsteve-type JVC LCD HDTV from eBay which, as it happens, can be used as a rather good Amiga monitor! ![]() Edit: We bought one! ![]() Last edited by prowler; 16 July 2010 at 03:49. |

For those CD-ROM images you may find on the EAB File Server and elsewhere which lack a descriptive text file, there is the "Amiga CD-ROM Guide" in AmigaGuide format on Aminet.
This is version 1.6 (last updated on 21st June 1996), so won't include more recent discs, but many of these are still available new from Amiga dealers online and this prevents them being uploaded anyway. |
