I built external BR drive with my boy, he is using it to watch movies on his computer. I guess I can borrow it... ![]() Interesting that new cases don't even have slot for disks anymore. Just fans everywhere... ![]() |

For me: Stunt Car Racer, Speedball, Lemmings are game I always have great pleasure to play with. And an outsider : Wind Surf Willy, not so known, but very pleasant.

Wanted to play Tomb Raider classic series starting from 1. First I tried TR 1 under PSX emulaton. Then I found OpenLara and it's fantastic but playing the original TR some of the cheap kills like the arrows remind me of Rick Dangerous and some of the Puzzles are just annoying Jumps - remind me a bit of SOB2 ridiculous game play.
I love the new TR games but one thing I noticed is with the originals you get a real feeling of being there on your own( Isolation) They never managed to recreate this in the reboot series Last edited by Retro1234; 02 December 2023 at 15:24. |

Been playing Stardew Valley with the Stardew Valley expanded mod.
It makes the base game feel very unfinished to be honest. There is a loooooot of added content there and it's really well-designed. It even plugs some narrative holes in the original content by giving more villager interactions which makes it feel like the people have more of a job and care about things. There are now five farmers rather than just you and Marnie and they form kind of a family to you in the game. The wizard and the adventurers guild now have a large part to play in your late game activities. I should have tried this a lot sooner. |

Just restarted Ultima IV...
It was my favorite game on the C64 back in the day, but for some reason (time I'm sure) I never finished it... Just restarted it, and going to see if I can actually finish it this time... Note: I am using the GOG DOS version with updated graphics/sound from an expansion pack I found online... I do have the original for the Apple II (and I have a Mockingboard in my //e), but that computer isn't in a spot where I can sit down and just play for hours and hours over a long period of time... |

I've been playing Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas the couple of days. It's a pretty solid Zelda-ish game (I never played Wind Waker, but it seems to be the main influence) and the presentation works very well. I might get Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm in the upcoming Steam sale.

Agree about the new Tomb Raider games, really good re-boots, lots of nice side quests and discovering the tombs is great. Not a great fan of crafting weapons and stuff - seems to be a thing now with most games.
Completed Res Evil 4 not so long ago and The Last of Us - both great games and loved the ending of The Last of Us as well. Although when it comes to zombie apocalypse type games, I still think The Walking Dead (The Telltale series) is the best from a story telling perspective Recently been finishing my virtual pinball cab, so playing a bit there, Theatre of Magic & Indiana Jones - The Pinball Adventure mainly - both up there is my all time pinball game list (maybe top 2!) |

Been playing Federation of Free Traders. Just waiting for an xbox controller to arrive so that I can play it with something better than an analogue joystick. I am now feeling a lot of nostalgia for the climbing and jumping in the old TR games.. hmm. |

Just finished Lords of the Realm 2 campaign. I forgot how many scenarios were there, took me some time. Time to move to Lords of the Magic, as suggested with preview in Lords of the Realm 2.

Yesterday I played through Sigil II (scroll down for the free version) for Doom's 30th anniversary. Today I started to play Eviternity II that was also released yesterday. Good times

Damn, in one go. Sigil II looks pretty evil, it gave me Ultimate Doom vibes.
Unfortunately it is not in the Bethesda launcher yet, but since Sigil 1 is there as well I'm sure it'll appear there soon. |

People asked John in the release stream when it will come to Xbox (which would be the Bethesda launcher version I assume) and he replied 'very soon'.

Yeah I'm talking about the Bethesda re-re-release that you got for free if you already owned the DOS version. It has nice built-in addon support.
