Last night I finished X2 the sequel to Project X on the Playstation with cheats, what a beautiful game, some of the best graphics I think I've ever seen. When I got to the credits I was shocked to see that it was just Rico Holmes again that did all the graphics. The end sequence says there was over 300 screens of pure painted backgrounds. His work really was breathtaking.
Right afterwards I played through Einhander on the Playstation and that was a masterclass in 3D camera perspective. It was a very cool game but not as beautiful as X2. The credits of Einhander showed a huge team that worked on the graphics making it even more impressive how much Rico did just on his own. |

Just finished all Bubble Bobble levels on NES. (Did Sega Master System earlier this year)
Later levels are more luck then skills and took probably more time than all levels before. |

trying to complete to the end a couple of xbox360 games abandoned back in the day
currently i'm on the infamous Diablo3 still impressed how the player class choosed at the begin can make so much difference in the difficulty level shaman + exploding frogs + templar as npc and all turns out like a walk in the park i think i'm very close to the end cannot remember why i have abandoned this, maybe a bit bored |

I can remember when I gave up on D3 - when I was playing it multiplayer and it still was a boring slog.

completed Diablo3, i was so damned close to the end, the last fourth act is surely shorter than the previous ones
ok, one less in the long 'abandoned at some point' list Quote:
i see now that there is the possibility to restart the campaign keeping the exp level reached well, my motivation to do this is less than zero ![]() |

Master of Orion, the original from 1993. I always keep returning to this. I wish an Amiga version existed and would work on less than 060 machines.
Beyond the Steel Sky. Someone recommended it here, bought it and am enjoying it a lot! Completed Nivrig Games' Rogue Declan Zero in 'Normal' mode, playing with two joysticks. Great fun, now it's time to try the infinite mode. |

Colonization and Civ 1 worked on 1MB unmodified Amiga - I don't see why MOO or MOM would not. It might take a bit longer for AI turn due to processing power of Amiga, but it could have been done if Amiga was not already on decline in 94 and 95 and there was too little incentive to port on Amiga as major sales where elsewhere. I still love to play original MOO from time to time. Not sure if you tried new MOO, it was not that bad and probably by now you can find good discount. https://isthereanydeal.com/game/masteroforion/info/ |

Thimbleweed Park
No idea why it took me so long, but damn this is good. The first 10 minutes set the stage and tone perfectly. There's cameos, swearing clowns, brother sisters, and a sheriff that totally isn't the coroner. Looking forward to play more of it ![]() |

T.P. is quite good, but Gilbert really has a thing for annoying puzzles to stretch out the game to the point where gameplay starts to feel like work. The latter half of the game kind of dips for me. |

But... isn't long winded pointless chains of events leading to progress the point of adventure games?
![]() Getting an achievement for pushing a mime on stilts *as* a wacky clown felt just perfect, so I'm really invested now. |

So two weeks ago I beat Sengoku on MAME. It wasn't a bad beat em up but I didn't but one at the end I wasn't crazy about. Decent enough game but nothing special. Last week I beat Puzzle Bobble/Bust a Move on MAME. I had played it before but never to completion and I have to say I had a lot of fun especially on the latter stages that got harder and harder.
Last night I beat Juiced on the original Xbox. I had played Juiced before on PS2 but just something I did here and there never to completion. It is certainly no NFSU and while I will say that NFSU is better in some aspects I did find Juiced to be a good alternative to the NSFU series. |
