Beat Super Double Dragon yesterday. I didn't find it that difficult to beat and I had a great time with it. That said I do want to check out the Japanese version of the game and give that a try.

I played MyHouse.wad for Doom II today. To say it is not what it seems would be an understatement. If you play it don't exit the level when you get the blue key.

Finished Rick Dangerous Extended A1200.
There are 4 levels. Previously I finished the ColecoVision version, titled Risky Rick. Anyway these conversion are more playable, the originals one on C64/Amiga are harder. |

I kind of wonder what you will think about Bioshock Infinite and its story DLCs. To me that is one of the best FPS games ever made due to the film-worthy story and world, voice acting, music and near flawless implementation of how you interact with Elisabeth who acts as an NPC follower, but I am in a minority there.

Beat a few more Arcade games in the last few days. Last week I beat both Bomberman and Cyber Police ESWAT. While I enjoyed Bomberman I didn't enjoy it as much I enjoyed the consoles version of the game. Cyber Police ESWAT on the other hand was something I really enjoyed playing. Yesterday I beat Mercs and that was a lot of fun despite dying all the time.
For non arcade games I beat Batman Returns on Saturday for SNES which I had a good time with playing. On Sunday I beat Double Dragon Advance for the GBA and it was a good challenge and I had a great time playing. |

I keep a list in Excel at home. I've been marking what games I've beaten each year since about 2018 or 2019. The first few times I did it pen and paper. Last year was the only year since I started where I got to the point where I didn't write down what I beat. |

Arabian Nights Amiga, never played it back in the day because screenshots never appealed me but a random Youtube video made me do a double take. Man this game is pretty slick. Fast, colorful, excellent music, music + sound during gameplay, non-linear levels, puzzle elements, humor, NPC interactions, tons of secrets... what doesn't it have. This is now my Superfrog.

Arabian Nights is also a game that I didn't play back in the day. Not exactly sure why not, but I agree it is very good. I guess because it came out in 1993 it didn't get more attention. Just a shame that the CD32 version is just shovelware.

I keep my list since 2005, and at first stopped when I got steam, but then last year I figured out how to extract finished game from Steam list (at least one with achievements) and started adding Steam games to the list. I started list after getting couple of books for Genesis (Megadrive) and SNES games - Awesome Secrets. I started playing those games to the end around that time. BTW, now I use RGL (Retro Gaming League) to find some other interesting games worth finishing, be it with unlimited number of coins for arcade or with save states, after we done with game in RGL. (link in my signature) 2 current games are both Arcade titles, I never played one of them. @gimbal and TCD - the game is good, but not SuperFrog good. Not to mention that there is a value in SuperFrog ending. That ending really made me laugh back in the day. ![]() Interestingly, they both had vertical shooter level, project x for SF and flying carpet in Arabian Nights. Still remember playing Demo and getting game afterwards. (this was in Germany) |
