HAHA!!
I stand by my statement! Although, with this coronavirus I have to admit, development has slowed down. It is still coming along nicely though and I cannot wait for people to see (and hopefully enjoy) our hard work. |

Hey all!
Here's just a taster of how the 'Palace' level is shaping up. The tileset is nearly done, and the results look really nice indeed! We're completely happy with how it's all going now....There's only the last world to convert to tileset (I won't be revealing that level, gotta keep some things secret!) More updates to follow! |

Love it!
Just a small detail, I feel the bright tops and their straight orthogonal design hurts the perspective a bit. Other than that awesome job! Keep up the good work man! |

That means a lot coming from a fellow dev! The Chaos Engine served as huge inspiration to me with its orthogonal design, I loved it! I remember that some folks didn't like it though. |

I love the design of Chaos Engine as well, I also think the overal tops in other levels work fine. Only in the palace one I get a more 'perspective confusing' feeling. Maybe it's not the orthogonal design as much as the very bright/golden outlines that make the tops feel kinda seperated from the rest of the wall.
Other than that not big deal really. The sum still looks pretty awesome |

Yes, the bright tops seem to be detached. A little darker tone should help. Other than that looking really good :-).

Love this kind of games. Long time since last time anyone did something like that. Chaos Engine is for sure all time top 10 game for me.
If the game play will be that fun you have a winner. Looking forward to play it. Keep on the great work. |

Looking amazing "LordNipple" Awesome work and I am glad you are feeling better. Take care of your health first my man I will agree with Tsak. My eye is drawn to the brightness of top of the walls and is the strongest part of the maze. Takes my eye a bit away from the main action happening on the ground. But that is minor. The artwork is stunning. Absolutely gorgeous. My money is on this being one of the modern classics. Keep up the great work

Thanks for the feedback guys!
I am glad you're looking forward to the game! After listening to feedback I decided to tone-down the wall-tops to make them less bright. I have to admit, these came out better than I expected and really maintain the quality and feel I am aiming for! Thanks to everyone who suggested it, and even though I usually tend to be pig-headed about such things I have to admit my original design choice wasn't the best it could be. I need to make sure that I have done the very best pixel work I can for this game as there are some staggeringly good looking games in production for Amiga at the moment! Ok, I had better get back to work! More updates to follow.... |
