What happened with Hedeon? He's still regularly visiting this forum, from what I can see.
Has he dropped the Sonnet project or something? |

*As always standard disclaimer: I don't speak for him, I'm just guessing.* I've been knifing around with building Qemu lately, but the build process doesn't seem to like the version of Python available on Morphos to get to the point of trying to build the thing. Python 3.7.15 or something 86% built95% built. But hit a little roadblock apparently the glue that takes /dev/urandom calls and points them at RANDOM: handler is not in the mos2wos, so I'm making sausages out of old pieces of newspapers and discarded bits of foil. Hey all. I've moved my Sonnet PPC over to my AA3000+ - with the Firebird daughtercard - updated with the Firestorm firmware.
I tried last night using the powerpc.library 17.4 but so far I don't have it working, it seems to crash after I run InitPPC. If I run getinfo it hangs. Any tips or tricks to getting this working on the Prometheus/Firebird w/Firestorm firmware in the AA3000+ ? This machine has a cyberstorm MK2 @ 50MHz. And a Voodoo 3 PCI. After time, I return to PSX emulation via FPSE on Amiga with Ragnarok.
FPSE 0.09, Amiga revision 3 (020515) works fine, but don't work compiler mode. Someone on this site: https://github.com/Sakura-IT/SonnetA...brary-version) wrote: Quote:

O Yes- mayby that is right
BTW. I found solution- I changed variable DisL2Flush to '0' in ENV:SONNET. Now "compiler mode" works fine on FPSE 09R3 (faster than interpretive mode) on my Ragnarok (G3 PPC) on sonnet.library (powerpc.library 17.13) Last edited by BULI; 19 November 2022 at 12:43. |

Have you used prometheus.library version 4.1 and set CacheInhibit? Is you Voodoo3 ok? As you know, I'm running: Amiga 4000TX BFG9060 68060@100Mhz Prometheus PCI with Firestorm Voodoo3 and Apocalypse - these needs to be right next to each other or the system gets unstable. Powersupply with DC-DC Conveter Initializing every time, rock stable. GLQuake WOS, Quake WOS running for hours. Last edited by neocdtv2; 02 January 2023 at 23:25. |

It would be awesome if someone would ever make a ramix clone.
(I know Stedy considered it) The Apocalypse cards are still relatively cheap, but most people won’t spend $500 on a pci bridge. I also think a killer app would be a faster web browser. Did anyone ever attempt porting one of those to warpos? (I’m sadly not capable myself. ) |

Hi,
I missed quite a lot reading this thread in the past, trying to catch up. Meanwhile at the experienced here: I’ve got this 7410 card, but InitPPC doesn’t get any answer from the CPU, despite of shorting pin 11 and 12 on J2 as described earlier in the thread. Ragnarok initializes in a half of a second in the same system. I did remember this version of Apocalypse has Flash ROM, what somehow conflicts usage in Sonnett system, doesn’t it? I’m not aware wether just mine card is defective or not. Should this type of Apocalypse be principally functional? Thanks, and a happy and healthy new year … |

Use the debug version of the library and show me the output.
I have both 128 and 256MB versions. One with pre-soldered short and the other with a jumper. It should work. |

What a pity, InitPPC, when using debug lib V17.4, doesn’t prompt anything, except PowerPC does not respond. I created Sonnet/Debug, but still nothing. Do I miss something here?
Interestingly, after InitPPC the PCIInfo output changes: Before InitPPC: Pci Device 1: VendorID: $1002 VendorName: ATI DeviceID: $5960 DeviceName: RV280 Radeon 9200 Pro ClassCode: $30000 RevisionID: $1 InterruptPin: 2 SubsystemVendorID: $148c SubsystemID: $2095 MemSpace0: $40000000 - $47ffffff IOSpace1: $60c06000 - $60c060ff MemSpace2: $48000000 - $4800ffff RomSpace: $48100000 - $4811ffff Pci Device 2: VendorID: $1057 VendorName: Motorola DeviceID: $480b DeviceName: Unknown ClassCode: $60000 RevisionID: $2 InterruptPin: 3 SubsystemVendorID: $0 SubsystemID: $1057 After InitPPC: Pci Device 1: VendorID: $1002 VendorName: ATI DeviceID: $5960 DeviceName: RV280 Radeon 9200 Pro ClassCode: $30000 RevisionID: $1 InterruptPin: 2 SubsystemVendorID: $148c SubsystemID: $2095 MemSpace0: $40000000 - $47ffffff IOSpace1: $60c06000 - $60c060ff MemSpace2: $48000000 - $4800ffff RomSpace: $48100000 - $4811ffff Pci Device 2: VendorID: $1057 VendorName: Motorola DeviceID: $480b DeviceName: Unknown ClassCode: $60000 RevisionID: $2 InterruptPin: 3 SubsystemVendorID: $0 SubsystemID: $1057 MemSpace0: $48200000 - $48200fff MemSpace1: $48300000 - $48300fff MemSpace2: $50000000 - $57ffffff MemSpace3: $48400000 - $4843ffff When I launch InitPPC again, or GetInfo, I get a crash with ramlib error.
